For Solo, SCCA and most autocrossing organizations require any helmet with a Snell M or SA sticker from the current, and two immediately preceding standards. In 2009, that would be Snell 2005, 2000, or Snell 1995. The helmet can be full face, open face, or open with a chin guard.

How come some of us get spoken to for getting "off topic" and our lovely Camaro5 girls come in and chit chat about pretty much nothing and no one says a peep about it???

Not that I really care, just wondering why the double standard.

Dont worry im just catching up on the thread and realizing it...and thanks for mentioning it for me. Lets try and not veer off topic of the fest to much in this thread.

All of this talk about helmets reminds me of the times when I would ride my motorcycle somewhere, get off the bike and head inside with helmet in hand...then someone would come up to me and ask...Oh, why do you have a helmet? Do you ride a motorcylce?...and I would respond with, "As a matter of fact, I don't...I'm just a really bad driver so they make me wear one of these." Anyway, how funny would it be to drive all the way to GA wearing a helmet...(sorry, just trying to help get back on the topic here)
