Nice Rick, but would you believe a couple years after that, my Ford friend sells the Mustang and gets a 'Mitsubishi' Evo MR?! Of course I'd already long sold my 'Mitsubishi' to a machinist friend. So when I got this 5th gen I made a point to weasel some work up in Indy and took the SS and, of course, raced my friend again...same results, although barely as I was mostly stock at the time, and ironically while I drove away from the track on all cylinders, the Evo left with some clutch problems LOL. So yes, there is a cure for a Mitsubishi, it's called a Camaro. Btw, over a 1/3'rd of all the Carrabelle entrants so far are LS-powered, and that doesn't include another SS and a C6 that I know are going. It's still early, but Carrabelle is looking to be a mini LS-fest

I used to carry a bottle of Soy Sauce in my TBSS to hand to the "Asian Ricers" after the "grocery getter" whipped them. OF COURSE it was done in good humor

NICE!! have you seen the purple one in TX that picks the front end up & runs 9 flat? (unfortunately not at the same time)

Well.....the more things change the more flexible you have to be!! Due to family and business requirements I need a truck...Soooo....the SS has to be replaced!! It is something that has been needed but I have been resisting.....can't do it any more. Our business requires that I have a vehicle to deliver lawn tractors and various other things with so that is what I have to do. I'm getting a 2012 Silverado to do the job. I'm still going to Orlando so you aren't rid of me yet.

I have a few items that I am taking off the SS, like a V Max throttle body, CAI Cold Air intake, SS spare tire kit, factory guage set (for an A6 ), and a new rear wheel that I will give anyone in ECC first shot at. If you are interested PM me and we can work it out. The VMax was a new one and it has 2000 miles on it. It was not a "turn in".

Rick, I really hate hearing this

I know you have to do what you have to do but, it's still sad.:( it's like loseing a family member. I'm so glad you are still going to Orlando and maybe you will hit the lottery and all problems solved.
