No problem. A heads up the elite can on the V6s works best with the LFX bracket. They normally include a L shaped bracket for the LLTs and on the LLTs that radiator bolt never really catches when you attempt to install there. I was originally included the L bracket and when that didn't work they sent me a LFX bracket right away and they said they were contemplating on changing the LLT cans to include the LFX bracket as well. The LFX bracket mouts to the engine cover stud

A longer bolt can be a fix but you have to find the right length where it wont have a chance and go through and hit the radiator. The LFX Bracket is by far the easiest way to fix that issue.

edit: and I would think you would need a bolt that's the same thickness of the bracket, added to the existing bolt, would work perfect. for instance, if the stock bolt is 1 inch long, the bracket is 1/8" thick. then you would need a bolt that's 1 and 1/8th long.

My husband riggged up mine with a small piece of aluminum he cut 2 holes in & fasened it to the radiator hole then fasened the V6 Elite bracket to the piece of aluminum. They initially sent us the wrong bracket & we did not realize it until we had already disconnected everyting & cut the tube for the install. So we temporarily attached it at another location & that was also fine but it sat a bit lower in the engine bay. I will have to look for the pics of both when I get home & can post them up.

You should be good to do that. As to my knowledge there is no difference in the can other than the fittings and bracket that's included. (I'm not 100% sure though) You might want to ask Chase and see if he has more knowledge on this though.

Yo I'm so friggin angry! I ordered a SS bumper on the 28th last month and it still isn't here. Called the company but their jerking me around, they sent a bunch of emails first week of this month but no tracking info or anything....told me they would follow up over 2 weeks ago...
Sent an email just now telling them they have until tomorrow to contact me or I'm filing a fraud claim. I have lights, custom self hand made plastic pieces and mesh waiting to go. 100% one of a kind bumper I'm making. but...I need the bumper! Hopefully my can comes by saturday so sunday I can install my ported manifold, my 25MM spacer, get her seafoamed, put the can in, and do an oil change. |

Took me 8 weeks to get my mpd1 diffuser and my shop wouldn't put on my ZL1 bumper until I got the diffuser, so it took 3 months to fix my car.
Maybe it is on its way.

Lol they told me that on April 2nd. "Greyhound is picking up from dallas Tomorrow. I will follow up after we get the tracking number from Greyhound." ^ That was on April 9th. Have not heard from them in any form since then so I called today at 12. Was told I'd get a call back regarding the status of the order. Didn't get the call or a response so I threatened a fraud claim if I didn't hear anything by tomorrow end of the day. I don't think I'm being unreasonable...am I? |
