Due to possible weather i am going to skip Somerset.

Got back from a weeks vacation in Wears Valley this past Thursday. Didn't drive the Tail of the Dragon because of torque converter concerns (first time the symptoms have arisen since I had the TQ replaced in Dec 2012), but I did have fun driving some of the back roads in the area. It helped to take back roads from Wears Valley to places north and south of where 73/321 comes out in Pigeon Forge in order to avoid traffic.
On a trip back from rafting in Hartford, which wasn't in my Camaro (we had a 2nd vehicle), we almost were run off the road by a semi traveling east on Foothills Parkways about a mile from the I-40 ramps. That road is closed to commercial traffic. It was a race car hauler, solid red, with a number 68, 86, 98, 89 on the back of it. I barely caught a glimpse of the number as I looked back after crapping my pants when he showed up 1/2 in my lane coming round a blind corner. I was ready for something like that if I made it the the Tail of the Dragon, but this was a surprise.

I want to go cruz pigeon forge and Gatlinburg Saturday and maybe eat at twin peaks around 11 in Knoxville first. Anybody game? It would be cool if there was a bunch of fifth gens rolling deep.

PF Too Many People July 4th
Was in Pigeon Forge Monday it was bumper to bumper. I had to get what I went for and leave town. It will be for sure heavy traffic July 4th weekend for sure.
