There really is a forum full of rabid fans about everything isn't there? How much discussion can there be on the topic of a specific brand of sunglasses?

That being said, I still like the Oakley Whisker glasses I have. Needs new lenses and rubber trim though and as you know, that's not cheap. $90 for the lenses. Yikes.

If a dealer were to do that they wouldn't be in business much longer lol.

There was a dodge dealer here in town that had a 2LT/RS with 98K miles about a year ago worst part was they were asking 28K

Me neither. But I always found myself buying the cheapo glasses that looked like Oakley's. So then I said ok I'll buy one pair of rediculously expensive sunglasses and that was that.

Considering what we've been talking about, it made me giggle just a little bit when I noticed Oakley has an entire section on their website for "Aisian fit" glasses. I'm sure there's a funny there some place...

Yeah there's a forum for everything lol. And for lenses and socks that isn't to bad. I have a pair that costs 250 for new lenses if you can even find them Because they aren't very common. Only reason I have is Because a local store found them in their warehouse and had to sell them at retail

well, I know i'm not going crazy. found an article (from 2008, but still. lol) that said it's not unheard of. they said that dealers pay for cars still sitting on their lot, and sometimes its more cost effective if they sell a car that's been there for a long time, at a loss, if it means they get a new car to fill it's place, that's more likely to sell quick.

Maybe they got a shipment of really low-cost "used" cars from the New Jersey/New York coast, you know, "Sandy Specials"...

I don't even care. trade in the sonic for a dodge ram, get a free car. either sell the free car and pay off the Camaro, or garage the Camaro and daily the free car. lol

You have completely lost it.

You still have to pay taxes on that "free car" and we are very upside down on the Sonic.

It comes down to the entire deal netting them a profit. A loss here + a larger profit there = money in the bank. In the case of the "buy a new truck, get a free used car", they probably won't sell the truck much if anything under MSRP - unless they have some factory-to-dealer incentives.
