Good to see most are keeping at it. I've been working almost every waken hour so my workouts have been rather speratic, that's the way it is in a motorcycle shop in the spring, but I should be back at it real soon.

Understand the work thing. That is why I slacked off for so long. But then I just decided I'm more imporant, I can give myself 30-40 minutes of TLC, plus it helps me with stress. Skip says I'm always in a better mood when i'm working out regularly.

About the gas, my dad used to say" Something( such as gas) that can make you laugh so much can't be so bad." Unless it's one of our dogs!

Dad and Skip always blame gas on the dog.

I mostly blame it on my daughter. I tease her like I teased my wife when she was a kid.

Bonnie's got the hookup on these recipes! I'm taking some notes here.

I may add an extra pound of beef to up the protein, and take away one can of beans to lower the carb content. Thoughts?

I have nothing to cook with in my apartment, all my stuff is packed in storage. I literally have two plates, two cups, two bowls, and a few pans/skillets. It's been a challenge getting meals prepared. I need to flirt with one of my cute girly neighbors and get them to start making me dinner LMAO.

Yeah dude that chili recipe rocks. Made enough for lunches this week and for dinner for my Dad and Fiance last night. They loved it.

Heck yes! Tell them you'll cook them dinner for use of their kitchen! lol.

Beans are a good source of Protein AND they are low in fat!!! Just 3 oz of 90% fat free beef has 9g of fat! A whole can of kidney beans has like 3g and black beans only have like 2g for a whole can. Not to mention the calories....3 oz of 90% lean beef has 182 calories...a half cup of beans has 90 to 100 calories. Plus, the fiber in beans is very beneficial for keeping you full and to help things move along your digestive tract.

While beef is a better source of protein than beans, an extra pound of beef in replace of one can of beans is not a smart switch IMO. Wanna lower the carb content? Delete the corn...it doesn't have any protein and is higher in carbs than the beans.

MUSCLE, NOT MOMENTUM!!!!

This is what I wanted to shout at the gym today!!! Looking around all these Army, Air Force, & Navy guys are just using momentum to get reps. No pausing between reps, just using momentum to get them through their sets and their form was just atrocious!! Yea, they were lifting heavy weight, but at what cost???

I am a firm believer in "Muscle, not Momentum!" Lower the weight a little, keep good form and reap the benefits. Who cares that you can curl 100 pounds or pull down 200 lbs if you are using your entire body to do it?????

...that is all.....I will get off my soap box now!
