I got a dayco one that is clockwise rotation. It comes with a 38mm wide pulley so it will fit my 10 rib.

Think this should work. This more it stretches the more it will wrap the pulley.

Haven't ran it yet, just finished those brackets. Tomorrow if the weather is clear I will test it.

Weather is not cooperating now, today and tomorrow we are expecting tornadoes and baseball size hail. Really sucks because I was going to see how the new converter on the 5.0 ran at the track on Friday.

Looks like I was destined to have a 6 rib system, as soon as I started it up the belt jumped 4 ribs and shredded them off. The manual tensioner had edges on the pulley so it kept the belt aligned, but I wonder if the crank pulley is out further than it needs to be. I used a straight edge but looks like I was off. Have to either find my laser pointer that the Jack Russell dogs hated so much they probably buried it in the backyard, or by a new one.

Knew I shouldn't have second guessed myself and added the extra spacer, I had it lined correctly the first time. That means I will have less stress on the bearings which is good.

Got all the pulley's aligned and the belt is still walking off. Putting the flanged vortech idler pulley from the manual tensioner and put it on the dayco tensioner, that should stop it from walking.

This works much better, rotated the tensioner so it now clears the jackshaft pulley and allows more travel. The flanged pulley should keep it from walking off.

Belt no longer walks off, time for testing and tuning now. Going to try to have the car ready for the track next Friday so I can show what my collection of "inferior" parts can do.

So far so good, slowly ramping up the boost.
Found an interesting video showing how much the belt stretches |

Took it to 7000 RPM, only got 15 PSI though because I'm still running the cam timing that my stock cams used. It is adding 25 degrees of extra overlap causing it to bleed into the exhaust. The thing is, in 85 degree heat it did 65-95 mph in 3 seconds, faster than my 11.2 run. Going to retard the intake cam and see what that gains.
