I think the Challengers are great looking cars but I bought a Camaro! Was glad and worth the wait. BTW Challengers that pass by have actually gave me thumbs up on several occasions. Mustangs on the other hand are 50/50 they either ask how I like the Camaro and complain about their gas mileage love the Camaro or they rev their engines if they are in the next lane.

hi guys, i'm a first time poster here and own an 09 Challenger R/T. first off, i frequent the challengertalk boards and dont want you guys to think i'm like a lot (not all) of the people that post over there. the brand loyaly bullcrap is gettin so bad and most of the threads turn into childish arguments. its sad to see that i gotta come to a camaro board to talk with other car enthusiasts in a civil manner about challengers!
please dont think of all mopar guys in that way. i will add though, the "rt kills" thread did get a bit rediculous. it started out with the right idea, but then claims of killing gt500's, ferarris, corvettes etc...but there were a lot of legit posts in there. just a shame people gotta lie and shoot down the credibility of it all! so just wanted to say hello and to please not judge me by the way a few immature challenger guys are treating camaro guys. i'm a fan of all 3 modern muscle cars! |

In anycase, I haven't posted much on this forum seeing as how i'm not quite an owner of the Camaro but I soon will be after debating on whether or not to get a 300-SRT8 versus the Camaro. I've decided to go ahead and get the Camaro. All I can say is i'm a proud owner of an 09' Challenger and I will be a proud owner of the '10 Camaro. Both are great cars. Of course each car has its Pros/Cons. I don't see the point of bashing, its immature and just takes the fun out of coming to this forum. I've seen nothing but amazing Camaro's on this site with a great amount of potential as well as Challengers. Those who are complaining about each car either can't afford them or they just out of no where got some e-balls. Let's keep it peaceful and enjoy each others creativity and workmanship. After all this is a Camaro site...And Challenger owners have thick skin, atleast I do. I could care less whose car is faster, is all comes down to personal opinions regardless of what each person drives. One thing we all have in common is that we are Car Enthusiats at heart so lets stop the bickering.

A friend of mine owns a Challenger SRT 8, and it is a nice ride. We went from Michigan to Atlanta and it was great. My Mustang is comfortable, but his rides nicer. The Pantera that he bought had us changing rides every 200 miles. I have yet to meet a bad Challenger owner, nor have I meet a bad Camaro owner. The worst seem to be Porsche and Corvette owners. Ricers don't qualify as car owners.

Man - those guys are really on the fan boy kool aid...
__________________________________________________ ____________________ I love the nostalgic look of the Challenger, and that is why I ordered mine in Apr./09 It will be a 2010 model probably late Aug. I live 5 mins. from Oshawa where the Camaros are built. See them all day long being driven to the holding lot. Other than the nice interior guages on the console that they have, this car looks nothing like the Camaro of the 70's. As far as Mustangs...they are a dime a dozen around here and really don't even get a second look. My car will be a stone white R/T and I have yet to see another one in this region like it. That is what makes it special to me. |

Seriously, I got banned over there for posting in thread they started saying that the Camaros were slower in the 1/4 mile than the advertised time (12.9), and the Challenger R/Ts were low 13 sec cars. I posted two vids of bone stock Camaros running better than 12.9s, and then told them to post vids of bone stock R/Ts running low 13s. They not only banned me, they deleted every one of my posts. |
