So I'm a troll because I pointed out, like some of your fellow Camaro owners have, that your remarks about people standing by your car chanting "Camaro" are absolutely ridiculous.... You should've bought a couple doses of reality with your troll spray man. Aren't you the same one that installed lambo doors on a 5th Gen??

The two Lightnings we have rolling around the Rogue Valley get ALOT of attention.

Currently in Jackson and Josephine Counties (which make up the Rogue Valley) there are (by my count)

13-14 Challengers
18-20 Camaro's, most being V6's
11-12 2010/11 Mustangs. Two of which I know are new 5.0's.

Same with my area. I hang out in a pretty broad area in the North, North East and East suburbs of Atlanta and 5th gens are def. a dime a dozen, even the SS's. People might mention them, but I've never really heard compliments unless it was modded. I get to drive my Cousin's (heads/cam/intake/full exhaust/tune. 500ish rwhp) every now and then and not once have I gotten a compliment on it. He gets them every now and then, but not like he did a year ago.

since you are so quick to call someone a troll just because they call you out, it's safe to say this pic is fitting for you:

Ya know, it's funny but Americans love their trucks especially the quick ones. My Brother got his Dakota R/T in 2000 and we used to get stopped at gas stations and parking lots all the time answering questions. He still does today (of course it is lowered with different front bumber, rear cuda rollpan, cowl hood, and the sound of thunder from the 426 stroker).

Really?
You're serious?
This cannot be real.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've read and it can only be possible in a cheesy movie. I can see this scenario being somewhat plausible if you landed an apache helicopter outside of quizno's, maybe. But in a camaro?

Ferrari, Lambo, Bugatti, Maserati etc. My hometown is quite wealthy and there are exotics all over the place. Not to talk it up, but a camaro and mustang of any kind, if not modified or a very limited, bad ass ride, will go almost unnoticed. Plus, I only live 4-5 miles from the most active point of the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Exactly. Weird town or he's lying. I've never had anything like that happen even when driving my dad's Maserati and that thing makes EVERYONE look with the Tubi on it. If I did, I would think I was in a brat pack movie or something.

I havent had that happen exactly.

But when I do see kids they usually wave, jump up and down, stare at it etc.

It is because of the transformers movie.

I dont doubt it at all. This car gets so much attention it is almost annoying at times...

Funny thing seeing mustang/other peoples comments about the camaros attractiveness now.

Before when the mustang was getting beat down all we would hear is that the camaro was a cat-fish and was ugly etc.

Now that the camaro looks amazing we are just in denial or it is just our opinion etc . Most of all it is just not very important...but it used to be when the mustang looked better. I just sit here and LOL.

Interesting that the same thing is happening to the camaro camp. Looks used to not matter to the camaro owners and it was all about performance. Now that the mustang has SLIGHTLY better performance, it's all about the looks. This is what we call bias and everyone has it whether they admit it or not. It honestly isn't surprising in the least.

Anyway, the idea that he walked out of a quiznos to hear multiple people chanting "Chevy! Camaro!" is a very strange story. Whether it's true or not, it's extremely weird and I'm surprised you don't realize that. People don't stand there and chant the name of a car when the owner walks out. "Nice car! Sick car man!" is one thing, but chanting. . . extremely weird.

On the first part.

On the second part maybe a little weird....but I dont doubt it.

I have literally had someone run a red light with their mouth hanging open looking at my car. I have had an 80 year old woman pump her fist and yell nice car while she was hobbling down the sidewalk. I could go on all day...but I could care less about that. I dont buy my car for other people...

I had a young child ask me if my car was in Batman, I told him I was Bruce Wayne and he thought it was the coolest thing in the world, very cute.

His mom was also very cute, she probably thought I was very cute as most women do because

a) I am very chivalrous and can entertain a multitude of conversational topics

b) I am a former Marine

c) I am quite good looking (I think so anyway)

d) my swagger

and last but not least

e) my impeccable taste in vehicles as evidenced in my recent purchase of a 2010 Camaro SS, the compliments never cease really.

I was on duty at the Firehouse the other day when a local cop pulls in to chat with us. I make a joke about how he should never pull over the white Camaro that's parked out in back, and he said "Is that yours?"

"Yes" I said, "but it's only the 300hp v6 Camaro LS" (LOL). He then takes out his cell phone and starts showing me pics ...

"When my truck was in the shop, I drove this for a few days".

It was a new Camaro SS.

So I commented "too bad you didn't get a chance to open her up (him being a cop and all) and he replied "I had it up over 120mph, that car was fast!"
