does UP ever update location as the rail car moves across country?????

I have been getting the same "ETA 8/9 @ Industry" for 4 days now.....

I am trying to figure out if another trucking company (Cassens or Translogic) might be picking up my car? AAG no new news from them since my car arrived at the railyard on July 31st and is waiting for pickup--anyone know if there is a database with 'dealer numbers'? Cassens says I need my dealer # and I am not going to call the dealer back, yesterday they were NO help. Thanks to anyone who has any info.

My dealer will not call the DBC to get me this information, he said just to wait until it gets delivered. Are there any other ways to get this information?

my rail car # ETTX905746 i called UP and they said it will arrive at industry on Aug 20th 11am. I live in Washington Bremerton area. I am wondering where is "industry" and does it take roughly 10 days to get to this side can it come quicker or later? Also how long would anyone say it would take to get to the dealers? thanks for the help...

From what I have gathered, "Industry" is the destination railyard. In your case, I would assume it's the one in Kent. The carrier then has up to 3 working days to get the car delivered to the dealer. That should make your arrival date, no later than, August 25th?

My Railcar is supposed to arrive at industry on the 16th....does that mean thats when the car is going to be unloaded??

So how do you figure out which company to call?

I know that UP basically ships everything out here (california), but I am not sure if maybe the car will change hands in Michigan... (or something of the likes).

I checked status yesterday, and was told that it was in Salem Ill (arriving at 4am)....today I checked again and it is now in Camden, Arkansas. It's almost here!!!....in Texas!....Thanks to all these threads and people with all this information, I actually knew more about the status of my car than the dealer.....that was pretty cool....however, the only thing i wasnt given was ETA, but I was able to find more or less how long it would take the rail to get from where it was at to home. So at least I have an idea as to when to expect my car. This was sooooooooooo awesome!!!

CSX ships from the factory- when I tracked mine, it went to interchange- that means it's swapping. I knew UP seviced this area, so I called them next and got a hit. Interchange is in Illinois (or was for me).

My car was shipped on aug 14th by rail i have the train car number but seem to have lost track of the camaro in detroit, im told that it would not have unloaded there but would have gone on to nashville.( about 60 miles from me). but when i call the automated phone at csx they now say no information for this rail car. HELP?

I haven't received any update in nearly a week. My rail car number is ettx711179. My vin number is 2G1FT1EW5A9134944. Can someone please help give me some idea of where my car is and when I might receive it. Any help would be greatly appecitated. Thanks
