But, there is a diminishing return on increasing the HP, and the real task is putting it to the ground and using it without changing lanes. It's gonna be interesting for sure to see what comes into play over the next two to three years!

Thanks! That the $56k ZL1 put an American foot stomp on a bunch of high priced European super cars at Nuremberg...priceless!

Ok then. Tell me this. Name one production motor that can do better?

Also, why in the hell would you want to be at 7k rpm for longer than a second anyways is beyond me...

If you are suggesting I have more than one account no I have just the one. The moderator can probably confirm if you have concerns.

I'm not trying to overstep my bounds as a new member here, but we all know what you're going to get as an answer on here. Probably the exact opposite you would on a Mustang forum.

(just to clarify...the later segment is total sarcasm)
Yes, and the Mustang still uses "old technology" in their solid rear axle.

I'd be more concerned about that than the pushrods...

Actually, the Mustang does have heated mirrors, heated seats, rear park assist and camera, remote trunk release, and an auto dimming rear view mirror. Like I said, you made up your mind when you created this thread, so it's a pointless thread where Camaro vs. Mustang crowd just tries to prove their car is better. Everyone talking about the street comfort of the ZL1 with the MR, take one for a drive and then you can state it as fact. If it's anything like the ZR-1, it rides good for a super car, but a smooth ride it is not.

I didn't say a lot of things, for example I didn't say Angelina Jolie looks hot but its still true. One of the first things I will do if I buy a ZL1 is sign up for a performance driving course or two. I have no experience driving a car like this so some training seems wise.

Yeah I read that in the Car and Driver article, 15psi sounded high but here's the quote...

Quote:
swapped the old supercharger for a larger and more efficient TVS unit that ups boost from 9 to 15 psi, and fitted a larger intercooler.

It's all headed to a point of diminishing returns, power wise. Reason being those that really use the power will not be satisfied and will add to it in both cars. Everyone else will "never" use either car to its potential. It's all a whose is bigger contest while never proving it.

Sirloin 7k rpm is off idle to Forumula 1 fans. I'd buy this minivan over both the ZL1 and GT500! Fast foward to 1:27 in the video.
