I live in northern Wisconsin. My Camaro is my DD and I've been driving with the summer Pirelli's on it since I purchased it almost 2 years ago.

Winters are typically not bad in San Antonio and hell, if the weather acts up, I'll stay home.

The Camaro had a coat of ice on it this morning when I left work. Don't worry, I had an ice scrapper with me.

Way to cold in Northern Wisconsin to be drivng on Summer Pirellis!!!! not safe at all!

video explains nicely

http://www.tirerack.com/videos/index...=26&tab=winter

Too stop on an icey road in the winter from 10mph

Summer Tires = 47 ft
Winter Tires = 21ft

you can hit a lot of things in an extra 25 ft
