Huh?? Help you understand what?????

304 horses,
Handling at or better than the V-8,
Almost exact same drop-dead gorgeous looks as V-8,
29 MPG highway,
I'm saving 100 to 150 bucks a month (versus similarly equipped SS) to go towards other important goals in my life,

If ya can't understand that...well then sorry my man.

Oh...and I'm averageing around 22ish MPGs, but with only 350 miles on my car. Expecting this to go up after more break in miles. I'm not complaining about that at all!

Last half tank, 85% highway, 87 octane shell gas. 24.2 mpg. Only a couple of tromps while on the freeway (think I only exceeded my 90 mph speed warning once). Once again, I lose all self control during the city driving.

i have 7300 miles on it (yeah i know) and most of that is highway, however when im doing city driving I like to have fun at the lights.

Overall average is 25-26, not totally sure because i reset it after every 1000 miles or so, or less. the first 4000 miles i was at 26.5, for miles 4000-4500 it really seemed like a totally different car, the gas mileage went up to about 29 (same sort of driving). Then I spent a bit more time in the city and not on the highway for a week or so and ever since then (the last 2000 miles or so) its been 25.0 or so. the absolute lowest I have ever gotten 21 in a tank and that was all city driving, stepping on it every chance i got.

My theory...V6 owners don't have any shortcomings to compensate for.

95% city driving 14.9 mpg. 26 mpg on 100% freeway. A/C on always, most days are 110+ here.

i'm getting close the 3 K miles but i'm doing about 25 MPG with probably 60 city 40 highway, i did the calculations when i went back to college this semester and on the 3 hr trip 180 to 200 mile trip here even running up to 80mph sometimes i got like 29. 5

so i'm pretty happy compared to my old ranger

Update on mine...I now have 1800 miles and changed my mix of driving to 60/40 city/hwy and am getting just above 18. I couldn't help myself so I took to the dealer and asked them to check it out. They ran their diagnostics and it came out clean. They told me to come back if I see no improvement after 5k miles - not sure what they'll do. I don't really understand why the variance. I've even jumped on the hwy right after fill up and am only seeing 20-22 MPG. I went ahead and disconnected the sensor on the air intake and reconnected this past fill up...let's see what happens.

I get about 18.9 avg. I probably drive about 75/25 city/highway. This is actually about the same I averaged in a 2004 Mustang GT I owned. Honestly I was expecting a little more but oh well. Still love the car.

Gas Mileage

What kind of gas mileage are y'all seeing? I personally haven't gotten anything better than 22 on my 2LT RS with 850 miles on it. Its about half and half city and highway with a little more highway.

Give it some time...your right foot will eventually get lighter.

22mpg combined is right about where it should be for that type of driving mix.

Is 22mpg from the computer or manually calculated by you at fill up?

Ease off the throttle, and launches at stop signs and lights. Highway cruising, I average 26 or so- with cruise on at 75mph. To get better than that you'd realistically be driving with cruise at 55mph.

All city, I've gotten as little as 19 because of traffic, and the Stop-light gran prix I like to run.

Good luck
