OK, almost time for a new thread. Chapter 2 begins on the dyno which is where the LS9 Camaro sits right now. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

Where is this car in the process right now?

Has it moved on the ground under it's own power yet?

Air Intake and sounds?

Please forgive my lack of knowledge in this area, but I'd like to throw a couple of qts out there for some advice. I purchased, and hopefully will have delivered to me by the end of the week, a 2010 2SS Camaro M6. I obviously have not heard what the exhaust will sound like and am wondering what I can do to make it noisier if I'm not satisfied with the decibel level on the stock exhaust. I note on this video that a special airtake was put on it - does the airtake give it that rumbling sound? Is the exhaust is on that car the stock/factory installed exhaust? [I don't want to go the header route b/c I can't justify spending all that extra money after making this new car purchase.] And what type of exhaust should I consider to get that deep rumbling sound? I've seen so many different types - i.e. SLP Loudmouth and others that I'm not sure which route to take. I can't really get the full effect of the sounds on most of the videos that have been posted on various websites.

Thanks to all for any advice.
Karen

Your suggestion.

Has anyone had this done at your shop? I'd love to hear what that sounds like.

Karen:

Thanks for the posts and questions. The video in this thread is of a LS9 engine with just headers and no exhaust. The intake is a variation of our Air Induction System Click to View that we do offer for your 2010 Camaro.

For the exhaust, its really difficult to find an exhaust you are going to like sound wise by listening to videos online. I would suggest the Corsa for anyone with the Camaro due to the great HP gain, wide open sound and no drone inside the car for daily use.

The cars that we have completed have been done in various configurations. We do not have sound clips of all the setups we have done.

What part of SoMD are you in? If you have any more questions, feel free to call us directly at 979-885-1300

Thanks
James
