ran 87 since I bought the car in FEB. didn't know higher octane was an issue, going to run a few tanks of premium and try again

That is what I recommend so that you get all of the low octane fuel out of the mix.

I did it yesterday and yeah, great stuff. No more lag in the throttle response, got that nice bike feeling when touching the pedal, whop, whop!

Canīt say it did much difference on top but well worth it. Just passed 600 miles so the car will probably wake up in a while and perform even better. Best car ever!

Glad to hear that it helped.

I feel like it may have helped. The car feels a little more aggressive.

I think the rpms at idle are a little lower now. Is that a possible effect from doing this?

Thank you for the tip!

I have some time this morning to pull the fuses. How long do I need to wait to put them back in?

I haven't tried the fuse pull yet, although I might pull them tonight...
But, I did notice that the engine seemed to "wake up" and feel more powerful around the 5K to 6K mile mark. Could this possibly be about when the tables were reset by the ECM?
It doesn't seem reasonable that the software/firmware would be written to make this a one way switch, but certainly it's possible. Just curious about this. If I don't notice any difference, I'll be tempted to think it switched to the high octane table by itself, as I did see quite a difference last year.

I generally recommend leaving them out overnight. 3-4 hours is plenty.

There is a break in tune that switches off after around the 5k mark. It is very common for people to say their car "woke up" around 5000 miles. It is not related to the octane tables.

I did not know this concerning the 5k mark. Interesting, it will take me a a little longer to get there!

I did do the fuse pull on my '15. Car runs strong!

Thanks much for all the info!

What? It is logical that the car would loosen up, but that is from mechanical break-in of parts. You are claiming that the ECM programming is set to change somewhere around 5000 miles? Hard to believe that one . . .

Ok ibput my fuses back in and drove to work. I noticed a difference although, not a huge night and day but decent change was made. Not as sluggish or "boggy" feeling... If that makes sense. My car has a little more pep-in-her step now. So, my consensus is that it works and helps with the overall feel of the car. Thanks!
