I think at 4.7, those of us with the SS would challenge them.

OK I've had my doubt's about the 10.8-11.4 claims of this Hellcat with or without a tire. This video confirms my doubts. Can a 4100-4300lb car making 700 crank HP run that number? Hell yes!! I've done it in two different cars & platforms. both took over 50 passes down the strip after several stages of modifications and carnage along the way in the Pala. Both best ET/MPH were in negative DA with great track prep.

I'm just not seeing these initial numbers out of the Hellcat after watching this video. I know one thing this video showed me is that this hellcat can be had on the street from a stop. I will stalk every one I see and I'm still stock.

I'm hoping 4VFTW and APE11 can help us make sense it it all. Back around page 35 there was much talk of ZL1 stage 3 buyers remorse and "turd".

Just Alien Autopsy Conspiracy Stuff:

While I've never hear of a NHRA Certified new car ET, I did notice they did not publish a timeslip.

No timeslip, questionable ET's, NHRA certified? Could there be a reason that fits all three together?

Yes. The NHRA has a table for DA correction to ET's. Would adjusting the ET for DA per NHRA rulebook be considers "certified"?

Let's see the 11.2@124 actual timeslip so we can look at it and do the math.

Hmmm, this is an incredibly plausible explanation to the apparent discrepancy....

if a car is capable of doing 0-60 in 3.5, you would need some really terrible conditions to be repeatedly doing 4.7- 5.0 times.
