I think this will get alot of guys wanting to get sway bars and coil overs if they take you for a test ride in their car after you ran the track in your car.

Is there anyone coming from the West Coast, travelling through Texas? We are planning on leaving Friday night after work, and travelling up I-20. Please advise if you are interested in a convoy up I-20 to Alabama.

I have suggested that Camaro owners caravan if possible to the event. Please use this thread to look up where attendee's are coming from and PM them or put up a reply post explaining where you are driving from and see if anyone wants to link up.

Mohrg Beast has started another thread in this section for anyone driving from the northeast area and also about meeting up in Alabama the night before too.
His thread link is http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40780

Caravaning is a great way to add some fun to a road trip, and to prevent getting lost in route to the event. Or still get lost just as a group though. LOL

She'll survive and I know she will come through. Just looking to have some fun and meet new people. Are there camping site(s) or hotel(s) that are recommended? I'm up for either. Anything else going on since this isn't until Sunday?
As far as i know there is no camping at the track. There is a lot of hotels and motels to choose from on exit 188 off Interstate 20. There are some on the exit for the track (exit 185) to choose from if everything else is taken.

Lawman,
Do to our insurance regulations minors are not allowed out on track. He is allowed though to be in the car for the parade laps. I know this is a slower pace than he would like, but it is the only option available for someone his age. I apologize for the inconvenience. Chris.

any vendors going to show up besides MTI?

like selling cosmetic upgrades? (bowtie blackouts, tinted taillight lenses, etc)?
We are currently talking with other vender's of Camaro products to attend the event and have products available for all the attendee's to look at and even purchase. I will post a list of the vender's attending as soon as everything is finalized. We should have vender's with performance mods and those with cosmetic mods at the event.

DTM,
I think you will be the furthest driven Camaro to the event if you can attend. I am originally from San Francisco and have made the drive 3-4 time over the years and know that is a good long haul. I did not do the drive in a new Camaro though so you would have me beat there.

More Camaro owners that are signed up.

Thanks,

Actually we arent trying to meet up the night before, we are trying to get EVERY single 2010 camaro attending the event to meet up at the new local shopping center a few miles from the track..we want to get all of us together and travel the few miles back to the track together as a huge whole. all 100+ of us would make for an absolutely incredible time. michales maro posted a thread for the local marriot giving us a huge group discount...that is definately where ill be staying..so you guys should scoop this deal up as quickly as possible..anyon else with hotel information please PM me and ill post it on his thread for others to see. PLEASE everyone attending meet us at the shopping center new the track..we will post the name of the center and the address soon. we would like to meet at least an hour before the event starts to have a 2010 "parade" through town. it would be an incredible oppurtunity for a "once in a lifetime" ride. and it would make some great pictures for MTI as well. thats the least we can do for them for throwing this thing for us..please contact the thread listed on this thread. thanks guys. ok so here is the thread with the Marriot's contact info.
