Ahhh, that makes sense...

The biggest difference between the LS3 and LSA heads is the hardness of the aluminum. The guy that ported both sets said it took about 2.5 times as long to port the LSA heads over the LS3 material.

Well today, ttshovel finished the motor. I came out to help him finish it, but he stayed up late the night before and rocked it out. Its such a good feeling knowing that the worst part, and hardest part, is over! I cant thank him enough, I would like to think that in the world of karma, It appears that sometimes it actually does come back to you. To my friend, who made this possible and put my engine together, thank you, for that I am very grateful...

I dropped the engine off to my cousin, who owns a manufacturing company, to have him ship it off to Matt and they boys at FSP. Should save me some cash, being that he ships stuff all over the world, every day. Its nice to have help from friends and family.

These pictures are kinda boring, I promise when I go to pick the car up, well have better photographs. Maybe I can get Matt to film me a few dyno vids..

Good luck on your second go around. I've been there before. Where did you get your TT emblems?

Thanks! The emblems came from FSP. I think, "think" they originally came from AGP.

AGP makes or made custom TT emblems. Not sure if they come with the kit or if you have to ask. Kits come with some many little extra like that it is hard to keep track of them all.

The engine made it to FSP, hoping to have it installed and on the dyno by the end of the month!

Spoke with Andy from Livernois, about my fuel supply. It turns out that I have been mistaken about what its current status is. I was under the impression, that I was out of fuel, even with my BAP. After he looked over my data logs, he tells me that my fuel supply is fine, and I can turn up the boost! He actually thinks because I have dual nozzle meth, that I should be able to get to 1000whp if not real close! That is great news to me, and its about perfect for my clutch, since its only rated at 1000wtq

Next to be done, while car is there getting the engine installed, is the SJM line lock.
They are also going to replumb the boost controller the way AGP has shown in one of its videos, to eliminate boost bleed. Along with some other minor details.

You can lean heavily on meth, but be careful. That is a dangerous road to go down.

He told me the same thing, but I'm going to rely on FSP for expertise on it. I just dont know how much is too much so I will defer to Matt for that. I believe we're on the same page.

The danger in leaning heavily on meth is that you add in the risk of failure; could be pump, controller, clogged nozzle, ect. Which can pop a motor if the tune is highly dependent on meth. The ideal amount would be with a tune that could keep a motor together if the meth cut off for any reason

I understand that, what I don't understand, is where that line is. So, I'll leave that to Matt.

What video shows the boost controller plumbing? I plan on hooking mine up next week.

And yeah, I'll leave the meth tuning to the tuner lol. I personally only want it for the cooling and maybe a little help in the fuel department

Actually meth tunes are funny. One great way to set them up, which a lot of vendors do it to lean heavily on meth. Then if/when it cuts out, the car is so lean it just breaks up and won't run. You know right away something is wrong. It is when car is ~11:1 on meth and 13:1 off that things go boom. If it is 11:1 on meth and 15:1 off, car won't even rev properly and you know right away something is wrong and just need to be smart enough to get it fixed.
