I did not receive a hat either. However, I did get the part/tool I ordered.

edit: I picked an honest .75 psi of boost. Certainly not a whole lot, but every little bit helps. Interestingly enough, I put it back to the original factory position where I scribed the bolts before I removed the snout to change the coupler last year.

I did mine this week and can tell that the boost comes on sooner.

I just did mine last week (video method, no tool). I've not been able to drive it yet. I understand that GM is leaving these slightly cracked open to prevent sticking (and you do want the blower to be able to relieve boost in the right circumstance), but does anyone know the real reason why it would stick? I would suggest it is for the possibility of icing shut (this is the internet, take with a grain of salt). Most owners don't drive the car in those temps (because of the tires) so, in my mind this is low risk. Other opinions?

As mentioned before I adjusted mine by hand without the tool and after a couple of track days recently I can say that it did not cause any ill effect.

So, I installed a Roto Fab CAI and did the video method of bypass valve adjustment. I finally got a chance to drive the car. I cannot believe the difference in power this car makes, seat of the pants. Funny thing is, I was down in Atlanta last week, and picked up the tool for 12 bucks at Vengeance Racing, just have not used it yet. For now, wow!

Gonna have to check out the position of my bypass valve now, some people stating, some impressive boost gains.
