I installed my last night also. and i have a question about some of the sounds it make, is it normal or is it me installing it wrong (even though it wasn’t hard). While moving and you give it gas, in the lag time do you hear a suction sound?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, thats normal. Its just the sound of air entering the intake.

The stock intake doesn't have that sucking sound because it has all those resonator boxes and whatnot.

Just assume the sucking sound is coming from your wallet once the modding starts...

Ain't that the truth! I did one run this morning, this one on the 3rd drive cycle since the intake install.

Definitely looks like the computer learned you were trying to go faster and slowed you down

4.98 to 5.02??? Don't think that had anything to do with the "computer"

If you look at the outside air temp reading u will notice that it was 42 F out when he got the 4.98 and it was 54 F when he got the 5.02.

There are a lot of threads about how much these cars love the cold weather...this is more proof!

We'll see as I'll continue testing in the coming days. Yesterday I did 3 runs on the 2nd cycle, 5.28, 5.17 and 5.07.

I'll be happy if it stays in the very low 5's until the shorty headers are available. There goes that sucking sound again.

Just an observation, I think how the car launches is a big factor.
