I'm guessing your saying, in a round about way, that the Diablo will tune all parts of the rpm range. Lower, middle, upper and WOT?

Alright Let me try this another way, The diablosport Tunes all ranges and gets all the power there is left on the table by GM.

As long as you don't deviate from stock they work pretty good.

Throw a cold air kit on and you may have to custom tune it to find every bit of power available, same goes for all other bolt ons.

Question: If you are using the Diablo on your Camaro can you read AND CLEAR codes from a different Camaro or Vette. I've heard you can read other cars but will it let you clear them?

You have to flash your car back to the stock backup flash and you can use the unit on any other car they support.

Yes the Scanner section will work on all cars that are supported by the part number Predator.

I don't think so but.

It does do 0-60 mph times, and 1/4 mile ET, and MPH, if you know the weight of the car with driver you can calculate it using one of the thousands of HP calculators on the internet.

I know it can be used to "read" codes on other cars...

problem is I have 3 codes on my car that it will not clear... I thought maybe it was because I hadn't married it to my car yet. Mike @ Diablo was supposed to be checking on this one... maybe my unit is faulty.

Give me a call Monday I will see if there is anything I can do to help.

Ted.

I didn't know before, but the Diablo performance tune eliminates the skip shift on the M6. My Diablo only had options for "performance tune", 91 octane tune, and "custom tune". I had read before that there were 93/91/87 octane tunes. I chose the "performance tune". I have a Corsa Cat back system along with a CAI Inc. intake. I can feel a major difference over stock. I changed tune back to stock last night to install 160 thermostat and took a test drive after install. After having tune in for a few days and going back to stock, it seemed so slow. I then re-installed the "performance tune" and WOW!
Very impressed with the power! Just wish I understood it more!

Preface: I don't know squat about tuning! Ok...Is there a specific item to help tune out the decel popping? I've read (here too) that it can be done. I am bringing my car to my dealer next Wed for them to look at doing this and I'd like to know a little about it before they touch it.

Thanks!
Michael J.

Edit: I've seen this in another thread:

I tuned out my decel popping this morning. Worked great - NO MORE POPPING/BURBLING/GARGLING! The problem is with the DFCO feature (Deceleration Fuel Cutoff). You can disable it by modifying parameters (like engine coolant enable temperature, enable RPM) such that it will never see those conditions (480 degrees F, 8000 RPM).

Disabling DFCO isn't the BEST way to do it, (the best way involves a LOT more trial & error work) but it definitely shuts it up.
