Glad to see Camarofest returning to Beech Bend!! I may have to plan on staying a night or 2 this next one though and competing in a class or 2.

I'll probably run #4, but curious why a couple of power mods are allowed but tires aren't. I plan on having some drag radials by this spring. Seems like it would be fair to allow a totally stock car with tires only to run cars with a CAI and Catback Exhaust. Thoughts? I should have some testing of the tires done by spring, so I'll know if tires make much of a difference or not. So far the best 60' I've seen on an untuned car with drag radials is 1.68 and I've gotten a 1.70, along with several 1.71 and 1.72s on the stock tires. If I can manage much better times with the drag radials, then it may be an unfair advantage to run DR against street tire, even if I'm down a few ponies to the intake/exhaust cars. I'll keep everyone posted.

Basically the only power adder is a CAI. Street tires are required (no drag radials). If you mod further then it already fits nicely into the super-mod class.

...and YES you need to come spend a couple days for sure.

I got the mickey Thompson et street ss on my rears. Helps soo much. But the stock BFGs didnt do a bad job either. I remember one time I brought my car to one of those drive-through car washes (I committed a sin, I know) and one of the guys working there who was directing the cars on to track thingy said to the other guy "she's got f****** racing tires". I just laughed. Also not fun in heavy downpour

We've all done it. I take mine to a touchless to get rid of the road salt and crap on it. Still a sin but when it's-7 and windy and you don't have a heated garage your left with little choice. Black cars are the worse for that.
