This thread just keeps getting crazier and crazier! Many of us in here can only dream of doing this.

Nighthawk, thanks for taking the time for showing us all of this. I just hope you continue to document the complete build for us. I have never seen anyone go balls to the wall with top shelf parts in nearly every aspect like this. I cannot wait to see and hear the end result brother. This gives new definition the the term 'Max Effort Build'

You certainly do not have to answer this, but I am really curious what your budget for this build is all the way to completion. But I get the feeling that is an ever evolving monster in itself.

InFiD3ViL First off Id like to say thank you for the kind words!! I really enjoy chatting with everyone on the forum and have watched many fellow members builds take place (Don above being a great example!) and I always told myself when it came time to do mine that I would document it heavily for anyone interested in following along. We should have results which will include a complete engine build video and install video in the following 2-3 weeks as we are awaiting the finished short block still

To answer that question.. I originally set a budget for 15k all said n done. Obviously I have exceed that budget to this point. Unfortunately I am the type of person that likes to see things get done once and done right. When pulling the engine there is no better time to address many aspects of ones build which leads to continued cost in parts....

However, the Max Effort build continues after the supercharger... MAYBE just MAYBE there is a one off custom Twin turbo kit in the works

For me, setting a budget was like when bugs bunny kept drawing the line in the sand daring yosemite sam to cross it

I remember when i took my car to get the cam done with CMS.....$3200 installed and tuned was what i budgeted for. Custom cam, springs, pushrods, C5r chain, cam/crank gears, oil pump, labor + tune......you know the usual

When i finally picked up the car, the final bill was $8300 (taxes included) and with a lot more stuff than what i had originally planned for.......BUT I WAS HAPPY.

If i had a $15K budget........oh boy, i wouldve probably ended up with a tall deck RHS solid roller 440 with some ALLPRO heads and a strange rear

I can't find the Nick Williams 112 for sale anywhere. How do I join the cool club?
Math says my 102 is going to be a restriction.

Very clean 5th gen! But Nelson racing is wayyyyyy overpriced.. They want about 7k just to assemble a long block.. and that's with you supplying absolutely every part. outrageous dumb overpriced.

Your engine bay looks fantastic! The flowtie bowtie on those ole school chrome covers adds the perfect touch. Courious where you got the covers?

Also did do any rerouting of fuel lines, etc. over the plenum or is that the way it looks just by taking the engine cover off? Thanks, Mike
