I'm fiddna go out and do my grill. I sure as hell would like to not have to take the wheels off.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm getting pretty good at it, but I'd like to not this time. How much of a pain is it to NOT take the wheels off when removing the front? EDIT: I see the OP didn't remove the wheels. Cool. And thanks for all your quick responses.

Mine took about three hours, but I was doing the halos at the same time, wiring those up and all that. I learned the top bolt in the wheel well area is a pain in the @$$ to get to. That was not fun at all! The rest of the install went smooth, though!

Reaching those bolts under the wheelwell were brutal! I left the wheels on - wish I had a roll-on lift, it would have been a lot easier to remove the tires and do the job. I love the look!

Looks good with the old school SS... I get so many compliments on mine and alot of the time they say they have never seen one with that grill before and then they ask if mine was a special edition or something...I tell them that it's the GM heritage grill designed to resemble the 69 RS grill and you can get them from, and tell them where I got mine...

I never wanted a Heritage grill until I saw a two toned version on a totally different car.
So I got one, did it gloss Black (same paint code as the car) and did a matte black to match the lower grill so that it looked like a true insert piece. I'll post up better pics when I'm not half asleep Love it so much now that I won't even put an emblem on it....maybe. -Ivan |

And for the future: If you undo any type of non-screw/bolt thingy take a good look at the first one you undo to really understand what it's doing and how it does it. |
