I live in Loganville. My Shop was in Snellville up until 2 years ago and I moved to Grayson. But it's only like 6 miles between them all.

Hey guys, originally Hiram, reporting in. Active Duty Air Force in New Mexico now but looking to order my ABM 2SS in a few weeks. Im getting deployed overseas and i want to get my order in before i go to make sure i dont really face a wait time when i get back. I am going to Thornton Chevorlet to order mine with my grandfather that just retired from GM. Hoping to get it for about 33k but not sure if they will give him his discount on the car. Anyway, ill be in town next week and really looking forward to checking the car out one more time before i buy it. Any tips you guys have about the car will help. I am looking to get 2SS, RS package, Ground effects kit, and ABM paint. Thanks for teh helpful posts so far and keep them coming. :P

Well, my grandfather that is supposed to be helping me with my camaro at the thorton dealership had a bad experience over the last week and now we are going to try a different dealership. Anyone have any suggestions for dealers in the Cobb, Paulding areas?

Thought I would give you some insight to my experiences from yesterday at my dealership. Here is the short version.

I went to get my first oil change (1100 miles) and afterwards wanted to have my car detailed since I didn't want to wait for this to be done when I picked it up on day 1.

When I wandered over to the detail shop I found them washing my car without even having rinsed it down first. This meant that they were grinding in the street dirt into my IOM paint job. This was an out of body experience for me at that moment. Don't take for granted that your dealership body detail guys have a clue on what they are doing.

After calming down and speaking with the General Manager of the dealership, I asked how he could sell Corvette ZR1's and Camaros and not even have a elementary training course on how to wash a car.

I thought I would never be protective of my car as I am. I was naive to think that one of the largest most influencial Camaro and Corvette dealerships in the U.S. let alone metro Atlanta would employ staff that could understand how to take care and detail a car. These guys don't even understand what Meguiar’s or Zaino is used for. My recommendation was that he outsource detailing to the local guys on the car and help create jobs for people that truly care and understand what detailing a car means.

Needless to say, I asked for my car back and will NEVER have them wash , touch or even look at it again. Hopefully by sharing this with you I will feel better but most importantly don't take for granted that because they are selling these awesome vehicles that they have a clue on how to treat them
