You know, one thing I will say that hasn't been mentioned, but that I kind of took for granted is that this is for EVERYBODY! Even if you don't currently have a Camaro, you wouldn't be here on C5 if you didn't have a genuine interest in it.

So, this is for everyone, whether you have a Camaro or not...and regardless of which generation F-Body you have. Personally, I'd LOVE getting to see a bunch of old ones show up!!!

Great idea. I know you've been mentioning talking to papa johns about it. Any plans for a commercial or something to get the word out to Camaro owners who have yet to find this site? or just C5 exclusive?

I have a question. Most cities have more than one Papa John's. Assuming this all works out and it happens, is there gonna be a post for each city of which papa john to go to? If all the people in the city can meet at one location, i think it'll get more attention because the crowds will be bigger. Maybe everyone can meet at the papa john's in/closest to their respective city's downtown area.

I haven't heard back from their corporate HQ just yet. I'll give 'em a little more time, then I'll try calling them back.

If they're willing to, I can't help but think a commercial would be smart for them to do. It would't just let all of us Camaro enthusiasts know about it, but others would come out just to get to see the mini car shows throughout the country.

The bottom line is, Papa John's has nothing to lose and everything to gain by this. And when I finally do get through to the right person, I'll make sure they know that too.

This is something that the local folks in the different areas where there are multiple locations will have to work out. I'd encourage everyone to start talking with their local core group of guys and gals about this. And if there isn't a group of ya's yet, start one!

I don't know if I have it all under control, but I really do want to make this happen. It's just a way for all of us to be united for one day of the year all at the same time no matter where we live.

It's like the Fest...alot of people simply couldn't make it because they weren't in a position to travel. :(

Definately a big YES on this one. They made a commercial and heck even pizza boxes highlighting John Schnatter's camaro. So I think you are absolutely right, It does seem like a win/win for the company. I think the event would be great, but I gotta tell you, I would be extremely impressed if they took it a step further and did some kind of advertising spotlighting both Papa Johns and C5. And quite frankly something, even if it is just pizza boxes spotlighting SSCATTERGUNSS. If this gets pulled off, There needs to be some special recognition for the member that got this thing rolling. If nothing else, certainly on C5. So allow me to be the first to say Thank you SSCATTERGUNSS, It is members like you that keep C5 alive and strong. Kudos

Wow!!! Sir, thank you very much...your words are too kind! I read this shortly after you posted it, but I didn't know how to respond to it...I still don't.

I do think it would be wonderful if Camaro5 was acknowledged in some capacity! However, while any individual recognition bestowed upon me would be a genuine honor, I assure you it is also quite unnecessary, and to be honest with you, you'd be very hard pressed to find even a moderate amount of support should you undertake such an endeavor!

Instead, let's just focus on trying to make this happen. If we can pull it off, it'll be because "WE" did it as a group of Camaro Enthusiasts, for "I" am incapable of accomplishing this on my own!
