Thanks, man.

They replaced all the parts listed earlier in this thread and the slave cylinder, too.

The peddle had a lighter feel and it shifted just fine.

I wasn't sure the best way to break in a new clutch, so I took it real easy on the way home .

Any thoughts?
don't ride ride the clutch any more than needed on regular takeoffs. ( example don't worry about taking off smooth for about 100 miles! Don't do any hard launches until u get 4 or 500 miles on the clutch! And change ur clutch/ brake fluid then too! IGTOt these tips from a friend that's a mechanic. It worked for mine! And u will possibly smell the clutch Just a little the first few good launches! It's normal for break in!

It actually is a whole lot more drivable now than it was when new, guess that's just part of the breaking in process and me getting used to it.

Where I'm going with this... They may in fact be using the new pressure plate and/or master cylinder. I'm gonna do some hard launches and try out the launch control in another couple weeks. I'll advise what I find.
I wouldn't use the launch control. I can't tell you how many people I've seen post about something breaking trying to use that. Axles, trans output shafts, smoked clutches, driveshafts...

Probably one of the dumbest features ever created for the Camaro/Corvette, in no way are these stock driveline parts like the driveshaft and axles capable of high RPM clutch dumps. One of my friends works at a large Chevy dealer, and he always tells me about the stories that start with "I was just trying the launch control like the owner's manual says..... and then there was this big bang...."

broken half shafts and axles aren't because of launch control.

Torque management and wheel hop are the causes.

And those things are occuring because someone dumped their clutch while holding the throttle wide open in Launch Control mode.

Solution: don't use Launch Control.

a more failsafe solution would be to reinforce the rear end with suspension mods and tune out torque management.

Wasn't able to get traction when I used Launch Control. Only tried it once and lost to a LT1. The pirelli's can't handle 4200rpm launches. 3800 tops for me on a prepped track.
