Remember there is also a bumpfire stock setup for the ak-47, ar-15 and 10/22 available from fostech outdoors. It is a little more expensive but it is made out of more substantial materials and looks better IMO as well.

Hope you have better luck than I. Ive had two and they were JAMMOMATICS!!

Broke down and bought an Arsenal SLR-107. Best decision ever. It can hang with most commercial ars and is 1 moa accurate.

Only thing better is the arsenal sam series with milled receivers.

i was with a friend when we grabbed 4 at a gunshow. i checked them all out before buying(im a bit more knowledgable with aks than he is) 3 of them have been shot too hell so far with no issues, and are pretty accurate for ak standards. this one i put 1 mag through it for a check of it after he got it and he put it away. he just bought an arsenal from a friend thats pretty done up and wants to off an ak he doesnt need, so ill get this one form him

Good luck, you'll need it.

All of the dealers I've checked into that actually have one are asking $1,600 -$2k. The last gun show I was at, a dealer had one and was asking $3k for it and ended up selling it for $2,500 while I was standing there.

As long as they are very rare and there are idiots that are willing to pay that much, there is no chance of getting one for a decent price.

Here's my other competition shotgun I sometimes use. I like this one because it can take the 20 round drum magazine. Tromix custom build $1800

Does anyone have a .308 AR15 ? I'm looking into getting one and want to hear any opinions, maybe a different option? I have a 5.56 setup and I want a second rifle for longer range.

The .308 round is too big for the AR15 platform. The gun you are talking about is the AR10.

Imo, if you are wanting a .308 then go bolt action. Personally I wouldn't buy an AR10. They are just WAY too heavy and bulky and highly uncomfortable to shoot. If you really want a semi-auto .308 there are much better options out there albeit more expansive. The Scar 17s is really the only semi-auto .308 that I would think about buying.

Have you looked into a GAP 10 (made by GA Precision) or a Larue OBR? I believe there are a few documented 1 mile shots by the OBR (on a target, not a person). I also believe one of the more recent Ranger competitions sniping event was one by a team using the OBR. I might be wrong about the second part, but the semi auto 308 platform is coming on fast. The TAC teams where I work just went to GAP 10s from Rem 700s. The snipers I talked to said it wasn't as accurate as the REM 700 (with the same ammunition used in both) but said it was more than accurate for the job.
