i think the jl is the 1000 watt peak and 500 rms not sure tho

Mike, you need to find out about the ohms rating on the sub. The JL 12W3 either has a 2 ohm or 4 ohm impedence.

The kenwood amp would give you this power: 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

Well I'll sell you my boston acoustics speakers for cheap if you want .

ill probably take you up on that if my front speakers go but if the rears go im putting something good in there because it seems like a pita to get to and i dont want to replace them again

ohms = resistance 4 ohms has more resistance than the 2 ohms

Since you have the 4 ohm your amp will connect with an RMS output of 300 Watts.

just get it from the vendor , maybe they will give you a deal on an amp kit too if you ask.
