What benefit does top tier gas have for us if it never sees the valve train when directly injected?

No catch can yet. No idea how top tier is supposed to help unless they think for that little time it is in the chamber before ignition it will help keep the chamber and valves cleaner.

So it is running great, but threw another CEL for the other cat. They say the misfire / issue killed the first cat that was already replaced, then while they chased the misfires it junked up the other cat so this wasn't a surprise.

Still all under warranty but I think I better get a catch can in there, I don't want to pay for this myself at 140k miles and don't trust the toptier gas / fuel cleaner to prevent anything.

How many miles do you have on the car now. Seeing yours is a DD you could have a good amount of goup build up in there already. Are you going to have it checked first & if there is a build up I would clean it up before putting a CC on.

Those tail lights remind me of my third gen camaro. I had the same kind of covers (mine were the GTS ones i believe) and I never had an issue.

69340 miles and it is squeaky clean now - originally they did a top end clean, then when I still got misfire CELs they pulled the intake and heads and ended up sending out the heads to a machine shop for steam clean and complete valve job.

We had a great time in Indy last year and will really miss not going this year. Round trip drive time of 48 hours is just a little much for us.

Fly in. White rentals are great at the CamaroCross. Maybe we should add a white rental drag class :-)

Great ideas Pete, and very funny. Not having your own car at Camaro5Fest seems a little sacrilegious.......plus not being able to take advantage of the free installations offered by some of the vendors.
