Today marks day 9 at the OKC rail yard and day 7 since empty. 20 miles away!
I'm thinking my permagrin will not be symmetrical and there will always be one side just a little lower than the other. Last edited by okie2; 10-22-2009 at 09:40 AM. |

That blue just keeps getting better and better every time I see it! It looks black in the evening, my son was so excited about how stealthy it looked, so I cannot wait to get home tonight and see it in the sun! 1st story though...I picked up my son from his cross country meet and when the bus pulled into the lot, every kid on the bus was on the side of the bus that could see my car, and every single one of them was whooping and hollering. When my son got in the car, he said that the other kids were all "Dang, whose ride is that?" and he was like "that's my ride!" It's gonna be a family love affair!

I got the call - but it wasn't good.
The dealer called with bad news. They don't know where my car is. The trucking company had until noon today to deliver, but no delivery. They have a call in to the GM district/divisional manager to find out what's going on.
I think my permagrin will always be tainted. What a sorry day. |

Here is what I found out...
My dealer called thought they would have been able to get the car off the rail car today and then in for all of its car things tomorrow. I would then have gone in Saturday to pick her up. Well as luck would have they are not ready to unload it yet. If he could go in the morning to pick it up and then drive it to Riverton get it detailed and I could have it for the weekend to drive. But then I would have to bring it back Monday or Tuesday to have the Bra , Tint and other things done. I thought long and hard and its going to drive me crazy to do this but I think I am better off to wait until its all finished up in there shop and then inspect and pick it up. I have terrible luck with things and I would probably get a few rock chips then it might look funny when I got the clear bra on. So with that said yes I am very happy it has made it to Utah I still want to go to the rail yard tonight and see if I can see it out there. The weather is going to be really bad next week but I know I can at least see her in my garage. then on first day that the weather is nice I will take a day off work my boss already said that was fine. I figure with in a Week I should have my car for good. Its going to be a long weekend waiting thats all I can say Thanks for going through all this with me lol.. |

Gemini - I think you are right about waiting until it is all done. There is no way I want to give my camaro up right now. I can't wait until I can leave work to be able to drive her again. You are almost there and it will be great. Even if you have the new ride in the garage you will still be able to sit in it and enjoy it. Here's hoping to next weekend being great weather where you are so there is lots of cruising.

I just don't know who's at fault. If it's the dealer, then so be it. I'll buy from a different dealer. If it's GM and their contract with the trucking company, then I'm not sure I like the new GM customer service. It's funny that the dealer had to call the GM rep to find out why my car isn't here. The rep called back and told them it would be a Saturday delivery. It might be Saturday night, so I won't even get the car until Monday. That would be 13 days since it has been in OKC. Something is wrong with this picture. |

I feel your pain......mine sat in Louisville for a day and a half but once it started rolling again it was quick. I believe Louisville is another big switching yard. Just keep checking. Your car will soon be home.
