Totally with you on this.

The guys who want the style and to chest pump about having a V8 are all happy. The guys who aren't concerned about a warranty are happy. The guys who tune their cars and mod them are happy. The super modifiers are happy.

The guys who want performance in stock trim are SCREWED.

makes no sense to me.

No mine still did this. I talked to a tech at the chevy dealer and was told about the fuse pull and this site. Pulling the fuses worked for me.

Totally agree. How GM can sell a performance V8 that performs like a V6 (until you pull fuses) is beyond me. I'm surprised there's not some kind of petition or something for this. It shouldn't be hard for them to come up with a software fix for this issue.

Why not wire the fuses and the battery to an in-cab switch? Then you could automatically do the pull/battery disconnect once a day!...lol

Actually, I've done that to some older cars I've had...a marine battery switch (hidden) that disconnects the negative for anti-theft!

I'm assuming pulling the battery cable would do the same thing, pulling the fuses just keeps you from having reset your clock at presets?

Dont know. My dealer picked up the car from another dealer with 10 miles on it. My guy put in premium but who knows what the other dealer had in it. Anyway I did the fuse pull once to be sure, let it sit overnight. Didnt notice a thing.I can only assume premium in it all the time or no affect.
