As for the safety info I've put forth on the Mustang, unless Ford intends to de-content the Mustang from a safety standpoint I looked at actual crash test data derived from the current car when composing my posts.

Also, as always I'm glad to hear your opinion. Of course, neither the folks at Car and Driver, Automobile Magazine, or accomplished race car drivers like David Donohue (last name ring a bell?) agree. And as always, I would disagree with your summation as well as well.

But please do go into detail since this was a debate based upon safety standards. When you say the Camaro is superior to the Mustang, would that include safety and, more specifically, issues like frontal impact?
Well, since the Mustang doesn't really generate enough horsepower to endanger anybody with a front impact, how about side impact? How's the 'Stang looking there?

Even if they do get the power in production models what about the most important thing to the average consumer, the Fuel Economy! You really think a 3.7l will get 29+ mpg vs. the 3.6l direct injection! I doubt it, highly! So nothing to be intimidated about. There was no use of even posting this. So what if they do succeed? With the price difference in a 35k+ v6 Mustang and my amazing 33k after t ,t ,and l 2LT/RS/AUTO 2010 Camaro I will just add a few mods like a CAI for the. remaining price difference and outsource the Rustang!!! I will end up with better performance and better fuel econ than Ford could ever give me for the price of their piece of crap!
Quick question, since we are talking about fuel efficiency (or you are)... if i can get 29mpg out of my 4.6 V8 what makes you think a 3.7 V6 will do worse?

no need to get angry if and when you reply to this, you seem generally mad and that is not the direction i want my question to head in. mmmkay?

Yes, I'm sure we couldn't find any Mustangs w/ paint issues, right?

400 hp problem - see fuse pull solution.

Yes, some cars from all brands have problems. Yes, the first year of a new generation will tend to have more kinks (*whipcrack*) than other years. I'm only going by personal experience and the experience of family/friends. Yes, it's POSSIBLE that maybe my mom (...and my co-worker's husband...okay, tbh, everyone I've ever known that had a Ford automobile...) just happened to get a lemon, a car that after 5 years turned into a lemon, or a car close enough to citruslike to call it one. It's possible it's just coincidence.

I'm not taking that chance.

Should'nt need to pull a fuse for your car to work properly. My whole point is if you have truely never had any of these experiences yourself then dont talk shit about another brand they all have issues I own both and it's a fact. Both are great companies. And if you have had a bad experience one time, and then write that company off then that is just foolish, hell if I did that I probably would'nt own 2 GM car's/truck's right now.

Nope, but as fixes go, it's an extremely easy one.

I already said some cars of any brand have issues. If the people I know have said their Fords was the worst car they ever owned, I have a right to state that. My mom has absolutely no reason to lie to me about it, right?

is the camaro faster? absolutely. trap speed alone shows that
Why do people bring that up? Ford chose a different direction to make those 1/4 times, and Camaro chose the brute force direction. The only thing that should be compared is price range. Out of all the GT500 vs. SS threads I've seen, I have yet to see someone go "That's good for over a 140+ HP, non-supercharged deficit."

The mustang has always been able to hold it's own even while down on power...it's truly a testiment to fords pursuit of making their owners happy. GM would have been SOL had ford kept pushrods or even tried to play the horsepower game with them. Now you have the Mustang with a well designed SRA setup and the Camaro packing IRS... it's almost a sure bet the 400hp mustang will lay down some amazing times at the track with their new SRA setup. It's going to get interesting and I think a lot of Camaro owners are going to be whining more than usual (I'll go ahead and include myself for that one. ).

Technically no one did, but from what I gather you and most other's have'nt had any, and I'm not refering to your friend's/family but other's in general. Who know's what the reason why your mother had a bad one, maybe there was something truely wrong or maybe she did'nt maintain it properly. Hell if it was used then you have no idea what the previous owner was like. There are lot's of reason that there could have been problem's. Like I said if I based my decision's the way most do then I would not own 2 GM car's now, I am implying that my experience with GM have not alway's been of high quality, so if I based my decision's on that I would'nt own them.

because she is too chubby, that is why nobody says "That's good for over a 140+ HP, non-supercharged deficit." lol
