If you do, I'll definitely have to have the wife along so she can hear the LTs so she will "force" me to get a set.

You won't be able to wait my friend as I thought I'd wait until the next day as well. That thought lasted all of five minutes and I was on it. Of course I delayed actually driving it until today and I've been in the car all day. I'm really enjoying this!
So you had the AirRaid then? Sweet...your going to be my test dummy then lol.

I know you've haven't actually ran the crap out of it yet so I won't bombard you with questions...just yet lol. I also have the air raid, and if this Vararam gets good reviews across the board, I'm gonna have to let it go.

One thing I'm wondering about is in-cabin drone. I don't get much drone...and its really only noticeable when the car is hot and your luggling up small inclines in 6th...but its there. But I've heard from another member that going from the AirRaid to Injen seemed to lessen his in cabin drone and I'm wondering if this might do the same?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Other than that, the usually questions will apply..such as how it compares in power and response to the AirRaid.

Just remember when you are cutting your Radiator brackets to cut off the alignment guide that sticks out the front of the bracket. The Wing only has one hole and thats for the screw.

I had to do this also but not sure that was what was intended.

Take a picture of your uncut Radiator Bracket so that Steve can see what we are talking about.

my intake seems to be sitting a little high compared to other peoples pics.

I can just get my hand in at the top of the filter (should the gap be larger?)

This shows the intake sitting what appears to be quite high - I cant get it lower though because it sits on the brackets (yep I cut them) - Maybe if I removed the rubber seatings onm the brackets I could lower it another 1/4 inch?

I have the hose pushed up nice and flush with the throttle body but you can see the hose on the intake is not pushed up flush on the bottom of the intake horn - this must be because the intake is sitting high.

Any suggestions or does this look similar to other peoples installations?

Doesn't look right Paul. I don't see how it'd get much air at all but if you have it down on the top of the radiator, I don't see how it can get any better.
It's as if the radiator needs to be dropped lower.

Hey KM,

Yep the Injen killed the drone over the airaid with the magnaflows, but Airaid I think with the holes was leaning the engine a bit as My exhaust tips werent black, as they are now with the Injen. One member In AZ said it killed the drone of the mrtv2's also, where I got the idea to go Injen.

Now though with the mrtv2's the sound/drone, really exhaust sound in my book, is more but out back not inside. It does get alot of drone going up hill on the freeway, but dont do that much. I think My headers and the rest of this combo is just louder and deeper but also really mean!

I think the video shows that you do need to remove those.

Take some more off the shoulder of the Radiator bracket. Mine hit these at first and I pulled everything off and wittled a little more off them. Did you place the Rubber bushings between the radiator bracket and the Scoop assembly.

This would tilt the radiator a little more making the intake gap larger. Also the Intake cone does not look to be flush with the Throttle body on the bottom, The rubber hose should almost perfectly fill the vally made my the intake horn and the Throttle body. Again if the front of the intake is hitting the radiator brackets then you will not be able to line up the Horn the the Throtle body perfectly.

Hope this helps
