I went and checked out the new 2016 2SS yesterday and was not impressed the way the car looked on the outside or the interior. Seems to small for me. Really do not know how anyone can sit in the back seats any more.

The interior did not do it for me either. Everything just felt strange and did not give me the same feel when I sat in my current 2015 2 SS.

Happy I got the 2015 over the 2016 anyday. Now this car is beautiful inside and out

Because I poo money and will glady spend $56K on a fully loaded 6th gen 2SS. I especially love the Grand Am style spoiler. Can't wait to see what the ZL1 will price for. Hope it's over $100k, because as I mentioned above, I poo money. What happened to the Camaro being the everyman's muscle car?

but I saw a loaded 2SS for 60,000?????????? Affordable?????? Might as well buy a Vette.

Preference. Lots of ppl prefer the looks of the fifth gen as with many other cars, it just looks better than the new one. Much easier to change performance than looks imo. You would swear some ppl are confusing the 16 with an exotic which it is not. I see them daily and yes the front is mean but I just don't see how the back half of the car is an improvement. To each his /her own.
Some ppl so prefer a more simplistic design, I for one can appreciate that after working on mostly high end late model euros and other luxury vehicles. I do like the interior however if that was the priority a proper luxury sports coupe (benz, bmw, cts-v etc) would be more comfortable and still have great performance. I can appreciate a spartan interior, coming from a family of mercs, rovers, jags various luxury cars. Just more shit to break and trust me, they all do.
The stock performance of the ls3 is no slouch. Huge aftermarket, easily modded, this is a moot point unless remaining stock. A modded 4th gen is much cheaper to go fast drag racing than 5th or 6th. Or a crotch rocket. Just don't get the hang up over 12 sec daily drivers when there are much faster vehicles out there I'm sure many have run high 11s without dropping 40k and if I wanted a light weight toss-able chassis wouldn't a c5z or c6z be a better choice?
I do appreciate the well rounded nature of the 16 and it's still a camaro but the 5th gen just speaks to me. I was blown away by how mean and aggressive the z28 and 1le looked in 2014 and was hooked on this body style since then. I also thought the lt1 4th gen looked better than the ls1 even tho it was slower stock. Speed costs money that's all. A few grand into a 5th gen and you will not have problems handling 95% of cars on the road 6th gen included
