If only you could hold onto it for years to come.....big collectors item.

I actually bought it as something to hold on to in the hopes it would be worth something down the road, but I'm just not really sure if it is going to increase in value at any point.

Same here, but I'm putting in random amounts a month.

I run my own computer repair / web design / internet marketing business and it's been hit sort of hard the last year or 2 but I've managed to put a little away. I also have a client that owes me over 10k that will be going straight into the Camaro fund whenever I see it. I'm also taking a part time night job as a bouncer at a strip club and I figure 100% of what I make there will be going into the Camaro fund as well.

May also trade in my 2000 Mustang GT..

Basically, I'm hoping for around $20,000 if I don't use the trade in, more if I do.

Update: They hired me as DJ instead of bouncer

Should be paying off my final student loan next week, then going to try and save up as much as possible by next June. I'm hoping for 10-15k.

Well, I paid off my house 8yrs early, so that money's going in the bank, paid my truck off last year a year early on that so that went in the bank. So right now, I've got just over $43,000. saved, but only $20,000's +/- going for the car.

My savings goes up and down as I am going to school. However, the car my parents encouraged (and when I say this I mean that as nicely as I can put it) me to buy, ended up being a lemon. So they are helping me with the Camaro, I just need to put half the value of the car as a down payment and they take care of the rest!

Won't be able to get mine until sometime in early 2010, have a loan that will be paid off November 2009. Will cry like a baby when I sell my current car for $4000 or so (gonna try for 5000). Then take that 5k, plus whatever I have saved up (hopefully another 5k or so) then go in with a 10k down payment. I personally don't care if I have to finance for 60 months. 5 years isn't such a big deal to me, though will do my best to pay it off in 4 years since my current plan has me retiring from the Air Force in 2014.

Well, Sometimes I hate saying this but I already have more than enough for the car. I'm being payed by my grandma to take care of her. She virtually spends no money and she had 2 CD accounts along with $1500 a month in Pension. So pretty much I had a lot of money handed to me.

I can't say I deserve all of it, or even most of it, but I'm very grateful, and I'm glad it happened before the Camaro came out.

Boxmonkey where in Kuwait are you at? I just got back down to Kuwait about a week ago from Iraq. We're getting ready to re-deploy.

I've got all I'm putting towards my Camaro downpayment in the bank. I'm only putting 20,000 down on mine. Plan on getting the SS, but don't want to blow my entire wad on it. I'll pay the taxes and insurance for a year also, but I want a little in the bank for a rainy day (Turbo or S/C)... hehehe
