You give him your credit card number and he takes your deposit on that to hold your place.

I *think* most people are putting down deposits. I know I put $1000 down but he didn't require that much. I just gave it to him so my wife wouldn't spend it. I would imagine $500 would do the trick; I do not know his min. Anyone else who bought from him want to chime in ?

Congrats on the order.

Did Steve give an estimate about how long the wait will be ???
I hope it will be sooner than September.

From what I understood Steve to say, a down payment is required. I put down $500 and he was fine with that. He guessed and purely a guess, but he said with me being 18....that my order would be in before July I believe.

Stopped in to see Steve on my way home from work. He said to be sure to THANK YOU all here for your support; he is floored by the response "from a web site". He says we're friggin nutz (in a good way). C5 members account for 17 of his sales to date. He does expect my car in this week. Even though Basil is only 2-1/2 hours from the plant, GM does ship by train for the first leg to the Lewiston rail yard- car carrier from there. Anyone who wants to come check it out when I go to pick it up is more than welcome; I'll post when I know for sure. $500 is the min he would like to see for a deposit but didn't say that was set in stone.

Anyways, enough of an update for now- enjoy your weekend(s).

Good to hear it, I just e-mailed him about deleting my sunroof after I finally sat in one in PA.

Here is my review and a couple of pics, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16826

Trm0002, are you going to have Basil install the front license plate bracket when your car comes in? I'm still undecided. Anyone else considering not installing the front license plate bracket?

NOT A SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN HELL are they drilling holes in my car. They have been informed of that NUMEROUS TIMES.

edit-> If for some unknown reason I want a front plate on, I'll fabricate a bracket up at work (machine shop) that I can bolt on from underneath once I see where possible existing holes for mounting locations are. In fact, if I go that route, I'll be happy to make multiples for people here and just charge whatever it actually takes to make them. BTW, they would be stainless steel- no less for these cars.

What about those decals the dealers put on the cars with the dealership name on it? Did you notice any on the cars in their showroom. A rear license plate frame with their name on it I'm fine with, but those decals are a no-no.

They all have one decal- roughly 3x3 at most. Just tell Steve you don't want them- I did. I told him the Basil license plate bracket ON THE BACK is ok.
