If we do this carefully, we could add another event if in the right place. Find track facilities close to an airport with a long runway and try to setup a C5 standing mile course!! Talking about something to show up for!!

I would say that is should be somewhere that it neither too far North South East or West.
Probably Atlanta as the farthest South Chicago as the farthest North. Georgia-ATL. Tennesse- Nashville and Bristol. NC-Charlotte **SC-Darlington(Racetrack and the Dragstrip is a few miles down the road) Miami to Darlington - 661 miles or about 10hrs. Ny, NY. to Darlington-638 miles or about 11 hrs. **Virginia-VIR or Richmond Miami to Richmond- 947 miles or about 14.5 hrs. Ny, NY to Richmond-335 miles or about 6hrs. Chicago, IL. to Richmond-801 miles 13.5 hrs. Kentucky-Louisville Maryland-near D.C. Pennsylvannia-outside of philadelphia Last edited by b4z; 04-17-2011 at 11:08 AM. |

I seem to remember something being mentioned by a mod about the fest alternating from east to west each year with no mention of the midwest or anything of the like...

How about having the next Camaro 5 Fest in the Midwest. We have the Joliet Speedway and Indy O'Rilley speedway both have great facilities . I made the first Fest and had a great time and the second one was too far and couldn't take that much time off from work. It would be great to attend the third Camaro 5 Fest. Love to see it in my own back yard.

I hate living in the PNW sometimes. Seattle would be 2,400 miles to Bowling Green (although it'd be an awesome venue). I probably should have tried to go this year, but it's still so far!!
Guess I'll wait till C5FXIII :P

Since the 5th gen only has a couple of more years left of production before it is replaced when not do the C5fest in a more Central location to get the most amount of participants.
If getting the most attendance is not the main goal and servicing each region of the country is, then by all means do the Northeast next year. But I feel an area that will draw the most participants is a better way to go. |

I vote for St.louis or Indy. Something more of a central location. Or, how 'bout Detroit...

Keep your eyes peeled for a HUGE Event coming to the East Coast next spring. Will be just as big if not bigger than Camaro5Fest. Thats all I can legally say at the moment, but keep your eyes and ears open. Stay tuned..............
