Chevy confirms that CGM and IBM are gone for 2012!

So I although this email didn't confirm a timeline, it does confirm color availability.
The wait was killing me though, so I ordered the 45th AE.
Good luck to all of you IBM and Gray holdouts.

That has me VERY concerned. "Gray and Imperial Blue" without calling it metallic. If they replace the colors but not the metallic portion of it, I can only imagine what a disaster it's going to be to get repairs done with the CORRECT color.

well, i sure the f* am glad i didn't hold off and buy a 2012. i went through insane measures to get my camaro in IBM with the options i wanted. at first i was going to order it, but then that whole thing with japan happened. so, my dealer searched and searched for one off the lot. found one in a show room 500 miles away from where i live. it had almost everything i wanted on it except the ground effects. and it had the 21" machined aluminum w/ black accents wheel package instead of the 20" polished aluminum that i was looking for.

Well that being said. . . guess I'm gunna keep the paint not repaint now lol, maybe just get "painted" stripes" wonder how IBM stripes would look on cyber grey. . . .

I've been looking to upgrade for sometime to a 2SS in IBM. Quite frankly this whole no blue situation has me thinking seriously about a 2012 Mustang GT. I saw this in a showroom today and it sure was purdy. I hope GM soon gets a blue or they may lose a customer.

I love my Pumpkin IOM/CGM stripes. Truth be known back in 2008 when I ordered I really wanted a Crystal Red Maro, cause I could not live with the reds that were available I went with IOM. Don't regret it for a moment now. Pumpkin could not have been Pumpkin if I had of ordered a red one. I believe that Crystal Red is replacing RJT for 2012, kind of ironic that is now going to be availavable.

Okay if GM wants to know what blue to go with for a Camaro, it should be THIS BLUE:


Not sure exactly what shade of blue that is, but I'm sure with computerized color matching they could figure it out. THIS blue on a Camaro would look so good it would hurt. (That's Steve McQueen in the driver's seat btw.)

Best color! Lots of looks on the road and it's somewhat "original" as not a lot of Camaros out there in the neighborhood in this color. I'm so glad i got an IOM.
