We decided to have a couple races not long after so we headed down to the line. We are both bone stock and I took him on all three runs. I used the competition mode on my auto (his was also auto) and there was no real ''race'' between us. I didn't kill his time or anything but it was a ''good'' win. There was no question which car is faster. The 2SS is definitely quicker than the SRT-8. And for all the he must not know what he's doing guys, he races there every weekend and also races on the dirt tracks and builds his own race cars. We both know what we are doing. Just thought I'd add my story. BTW, wasn't really paying too much attention to our times so I can't really tell you an exact time difference. Was somewhere around 13.1 or 2 to 13.4. I have a heavily modded 97 Trans Am running in the low 11's so that was the only car I was concerned on times for along with his modded 2008 GT Mustang in the mid 11's. Our SS and SRT-8 cars are just usually there for show with the other 2.
Your probably the only person I have ever heard of that drag races regularly, yet, didn't care worth a darn what the car clocked in at/trapped regardless if it was your drag car or not.

Dont plan on dragging it much. Have too much time and money in my Trans Am. Besides, my buddy and I were just having fun. Just wanted to know which was faster, not the time it got. Believe it or not, I could care less, I'll be out driving mine later and if I talk to my friend I'll be sure to get a definite time for the non-believers the next time we go out. And what kind of satisfaction would I get to not tell the truth on here. If I cared that bad I would just blow them all out of the water with my T/A.

First place is first place...

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Stock, These cars must run pretty close to each other. I've seen videos where one wins then the other wins. Visa Versa, It's all about the driver at this point. as for if it was modded, Not sure which one could be the top beast.
Though i can say, My friend just got his supercharger chally, he's running 10's on a stock block, stock bottom..all he has is a supercharger.
