Exactly. This car cut out from the factory at that.....I pushed it till it literally hit the rev limiter and cut fuel.

Perfect example of stock tune limitations.

Another interesting bit is how the baseline numbers spiked just before it cut out showing what I feel is an incorrect/true baseline number.

This was a LFX in a Camaro with a Loaded 424XLC2 Dynojet with a 1.18CF.

No idea how CAI markets their products personally but we all can debate weather or not it makes power.

It's a scaled graph.....look at the two values on each side of the dyno.

So you didn't hit the rev limiter, you hit the speed limiter. That makes more sense. I know the rev limiter is not at 5500 rpm.

Must've been a car with the 118mph limiter.

Only the ones that came with 18" wheels have the lower limiter.

We're not all damned!!

My apologies...yes, the speed limiter was reached on the first pull.

I really thought that the linear gains between the two pulls were where it was at. Comparing, even to the dropoff point of 5500 rpm, the two runs, there is such a huge difference in the pulls. At the end of the day, it's the gains made that the customer can actually appreciate. And of course, I can't go out and romp on the cars to see if it feels better at all.

But I can hope that the Dyno results prove that it does!

It is a good separation up to that point. At your altitude the numbers look reasonable to me.

Yes, I will agree that the post-tune gains along the graph are very good. Like many, my eye first goes to the differences in peak results, and when I saw that low peak baseline number and the cutoff, I thought, WTF?

The fact that you could remove that speed limiter is definitely another tune benefit.

Do you ever consider baseline dynoing the cars with the lower limiter in 3rd gear?

Yeah we don't have that awesome Sea Level stuff that I was getting used to while I was down in Pensacola..... :(

This altitude is really tough for our FI crowd. Really gotta push em hard up here.

All the time yes. This example was just for the plain fact that it was a Dyno Tune Result that any LFX customer...regardless of modifications.....would be able to compare and see with their own eyes.

The ability see see the gains after the speed cutout was lifted and the gains under the curve with just a tune.

Are there correction factors for altitude, or no? I know corrections are applied, but am not familiar with what they correct for.
Gearing not being 1:1? Temperature? Not sure.
