I finally opened up the box my headers came in today. I wanted to be sure they shipped okay & of course wanted to see them. I did not completely unwrap them since I still need to transport them to get them installed but here are some pics. I will wait to get them installed until early Feb after I get back from Gatlinburg. I am hoping the new dyno tune from HP will be ready by then too!

Either a performance shop down there close to you or at the Vocational automotive school Mike's friend teaches at. I may get the school to do the install (free) then go to the performance shop for my dyno tune. Here are a couple of "before" audio clips of the sound of my car from today. They turned out grainy/pixelated for some reason so not much to look at. The visually worse ones (from my Iphone) sound better but the ones from my camera look a little better so I'll post one of each. There are more on my youtube channel RubyCamaro5.

I am anxiously awaiting word about a new tune to be released by HP that is supposed to allow for a ture dyno tune for the LLT engine finally!!! I will get my headers installed when I return from Gatlinburg then as soon as the new tune is out It will be mine.
Now my truck has developed some sort of problem. It sounds bad. Possibly the crankcase but I hope not. That could throw a monkey wrench in a lot of things. Cross your fingers for me.

Still no word on when the HP tune will be released but it should be soon. I talked to our friend who teaches at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in automotive about installing my headers yesterday & send him some pics & information. We will get it scheduled in 2-3 weeks when the weather breaks & his students get caught up with stuff they are currently working on.
Mike & I got the Camaros out today on this rare beautiful winter day & went for a nice country cruise. Here is a video & a few pics:

Yeah, well, I know, but I need so many things right now. My laptop is literally about to die of old age, I need a new still camera, want a gopro, and a number of our appliances need to be replaced. One of these days though.

I spent 2 1/2 hours today removing the felt blanket from my engine. I have been wanting to do it for a long time but just could not find time to do it. It was a pain in the butt, but I'm glad I did it. It looks much better. I got frustrated a few times not sure I could do it, but I perservered. When I finished my hands looked like an old mechanic's hands even though I wore gloved most of the time.
My back has stopped hurting after a long warm lavendar bath and I feel like I accomplished something. Here are some before & after pics:
