I saw this on another forum, I have never seen a pole do that to a car hitting it front on, maybe sideways, but never front on....

im so tried of hearing that he was traveling at a high rate of speed, he hit a tree not a car or anything that transfers the kenetic engery but the tree brought all that energy back to the car so 40 mph with about 4100 pounds of force hmmmmmm yeah that alot of force its over 33475 newtons of energy back into the car.....he is right he is lucky to be alive. at 100 mph he would have split the car in half with about 83129 newtons of energy sooo yeah deff not 100....oh a newton is a measure of force to move a mass 1m/s-2....the earth pulls at 9.18 newtons.

We should have a moment of silence for the car. Thank God we don't have to have one for you too! It looks like the car held together in the drivers seat...structurally. Hopefully when you get better you can get another camaro.

No worries mate, the rest of us get it. No need to expain or justify yourself. God speed and may YOU first and foremost fully recover and secondly may you have another crack at the awesome Camaro.

That reminds me of a RX7 guy that was a passenger in a car accident where he was ejected and became paralyzed from the neck down.

He was posting about this on the RX7 forums through a chin joystick. I think his name was dougiefresh or something to that effect.

The ****ed up part was that his "friends" fled the scene and left him there to die.

That's very strange.

I take it that this didn't happen in California where the poles are bolted by bolts that are designed to break off so the pole is not like some light saber slicing a car in half.
