I gotcha now. I wasn't at all interested in that Hot Wheels package other than the Kinetic Blue Metallic paint. All I (and I'm assuming many others) wanted was to have that color available on any Camaro variant. I'm hoping this blue will be. That blue on 84 Monte SS's was pretty sweet!

There was a bit of a surprise at the GM Renaissance Center today. As you can see from the photos, there were multiple custom Chevrolet Camaros surrounded by a film crew in GM’s circular showroom.

RIIIIIGHT!! I wanted blue but the BRM was just too dark and, when not in good light, almost black. So I went with CRT. But if they come out with a nice blue right after I get my beauty I'll certainly be a bit miffed

Might just have to wrap it ultimately

I agree. I've (un)affectionately called BRM "light black" since it was introduced. I really hope they get this blue right. Truth be told, I'll buy a 1LE in anything close to a medium blue once it is available.

To me, this color with that interior gives makes a great looking tough looking car, a little bit of elegance. A nice blend of both worlds. I compare it to the darker tan on the 4th gen SS models. They always looked a little classy but but still bad a$$ at the same time.

I hope they give us the new color options on the Z/28. We've been waiting and searching for a 2015 allocation and hoping there would be new color options for it. I want one in Laguna Blue soooo bad.

No but have to wonder if the paintref people called it "Old Blue Eyes" while in the mean time GM decided to call it Blue Velvet Metallic which is listed as a new 2015 Camaro color. Those who know who "Old Blue Eyes" is probably not a large part of the Camaro demographic, more of a Buick color name IYKWIM. Probably the same color just with a more "modern" name. Interested to see what it will look like, maybe like the blue '83-'84 Monte SS's?

Yeah they went from Frank Sinatra (Old Blue Eyes) to Elvis (Blue Velvet Metallic)....lol
