only reason I ask is, the Z06 rotors are drilled, and some owners have reported hairline cracks developing all around the holes under road-race (track) conditions -- leading to rotor cracking in some severe situtations.

The rotors I am talking about are the same as what are on the Z06. I have not heard about them cracking, that sucks. I like the looks, and will never be road racing so they might still work for some. I would like to see them offered as an option and not an after market item. When I buy my cars, I like to pay and be done, and not have to come up with more cash for after market add ons. Just personal preference.

Oh yeah definetly E85 compatible V8. If it had that it would be classified as a enviromentally friendly car here and and I'd get tax breaks

I would like to see, and even if they are $ options that would be fine, though I know some of these are pipe dreams-

Real leather steering wheel with thick bolstered/padded areas.

Different interior colors other then black.

Interior leather/upscale upgrade like the corvette 4LT option.

Real brakes-If you can afford to put Brembo's on the Cobalt SS you can do it for the camaro.

The exact wheels on the orange convertible show car.

Room to fit at least 9.5 wide up front and 11 wide out back wheel.

Some higher end strut/shocks- Would like to see Koni, Bilstein, etc. For that matter a magnetic system.

A front grill made out of metal. Let me clarify this by saying grill mesh like a V series so weight wont be anymore then a straight plastic grill.

Open up the hood scoop.

Some kind of CME (center mount exhaust).

Paddle shifters for automatic

a drag pac option from the factory to keep axle/wheel hop controlled

This is more of a question. You can't just suggest 'fast.'

With all the aftermarket items promised in the video and other packages, there will be many individual tastes out there. Will there be custom factory orders the first year of release? If so, what will be the turnaround time?

1. Real limmited slip on all v8's ( no electronic limmited slip )
2. mp3 player inputs on all models standard
3. no skip shift!
4. all 8 cylinders at Idle please. it would be embarasing to be at a light sounding like a 4 cylender
5. I loved the ball shifter in my previous camaro's the black one from my 87 was better than the leather knob ( hint hint )
6. find a way to blackout the reverse light when not on so they don't look so obvious and break up the nice rear end.
7. intrusive traction control is annoying

Does the LS7 have DOD? I'm assuming itdoesn't. That could be a good solution to the crappy exaust sound when in 4cyl mode.

(Edit: This is now my solution to everything. "You blew your motor?? Put a LS7 in it, that'll fix it right up.)

I've only read bits and pieces of this thread, but all of the first thread, so this is what comes to mind (that I don't think has been mentioned explicitly):

1. It would be fantastic to either have a) some sort of visual navigation system plus inputs for both an iPod w/ seamless integration plus any other type of MP3 player (either RCA or USB) OR b) a standardized size for the radio to make an aftermarket radio a feasible alternative

2. A wide range of possible headlight/grille combinations (especially an RS/SS type headlight treatment)

3. Some sort of agreement with GM Performance Parts to get engine upgrades from the factory before delivery so that we don't have to pay for the stock engine plus enhancements, and also that would be covered under warranty.

4. Some way to turn off CAGS (the 'skip shift' feature on GM six speed trannys)

5. Different wheels to choose from for all trim levels

6. Those sweet seat belt buckles from the concept

7. The ability to set the traction control to be either on or off when the car is first started.

8. Seat memory/heated seats.

My #1 request is an affordable V-8 ( a big one ) car. I would like to see the following:
-wheels like the concept ( coupe & 'vert)
-headlights like the concept
-stripe packages ( I want mine like the pic in my sig)
-spoiler ( don't care for the wing)
-good seats and steering wheel
-premium brakes
-CAMARO badging
-and again.... an affordable 5th gen.
