If under warranty I don't think they are required to give the customer his old parts...

If possible it would be cool if you could at least take a look at them and they could explain the problems....Hopefully they tell you what came first....the chicken, or the egg....lol...

P.S. I think Balue's dealership is going to become very popular in a short while....

Update guys: I had the clutch bled from the bleeder valve and the fluid was BLACK. So I am suspecting that I boiled some really old, nasty fluid and that caused this issue. As I said before, I had been bleeding the brakes with Dot 4 very often but never bled the clutch.

I also installed a set of Cobalt Friction XR1 and XR3 pads, time to hit Buttonwillow this weekend. Wish me luck that the problem is solved!

Yeah lets hope problem solved, and have fun this weekend. I just got an email to come pick my car up, i wonder what they did. The service manager had me bring it in Wed, they also just happened to have a field engineer (whatever that is) there and had him look at the car.

I wish you best of luck! Seeing how easy it is the bleed the clutch on my Miata, I really wish it was easy on Camaro, too, especially considering how much it needs it!

Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and install a remote bleeder; could be a nice long winter project.

Here's to hoping our clutch problems are in the past. I'll know soon.

Thanks man, can't wait to hit the track. I'm going to bite that bullet for the remote bleeder too.

I had a mechanic do the bleed, he said it was a bitch. He had to borrow one of those funky zig-zag wrenches from a neighboring shop to get er done. This socket was too short, that was too long, LOL. You know the drill.

Man all you guys have made me paranoid now.

Purchase a Remote bleeder..check.

Using above apparatus, replace old clutch fluid and refill and carefully BLEED with Castrol SRF with its far superior to anything else out there, 518° wet boiling point..check.

UPDATE!! Just picked her up. The pedal feels a bit different but not in a bad way. The clutch feels great. Parts insepction did not realy reveal anything, the disk was a bit glazed and they are stating slave is definitely suspect based upon what kept happening even in their possession and the incident with the failure in their driveway. Pressure plate looked ok. But basically they replaced everything behind the bell housing.

Excellent news!!!

What kind of clutch fluid did they use now?

I'm assuming it's the oem DOT 3 naturally.

Question: are you flushing it out in favour of DOT 4? If so, are you using that bleeder method and DIY?

Slave failure would be hard to see with the eye. Part tolerances are very tight so doesn't take much to screw them up. This has been the main culprit in many reads I've been watching. This is the main reason of keeping fluid clean as the dust that gets into the system from the throw bearing is abrasive and break down the shims in the slave
