Michael, the link to the camaro fun fest on page 7 doesnt work. the link on page 6 still does. i finally got paid for the job i did in december. im signing up for fridays event on thursday.
lets all sing kumbaya my lord and get over it. C5 didnt do anything to us to exclude road guys. to the mods, the friday event aint gonna hurt diddly. can we not just be happy that C5 has the following to get this event together and one of our own has the frickin balz to put on an event on friday.
my take is the sooner we respect one another and see that more equals more for us all, then the better.
i dont get drag racing but i dont have to. if my dad was a drag racer or if i had come up dong it, i would be on the other side of the fence im sure. as it is, im a road guy to the end but thats because i had the path i had.
im running both days and anyone that whines gets HPS pads for track day.
HTFU PPL.

i was all excited when i heard that the fest was coming to BG. then this thread started and it seemed like C5 was doing a day and one of our members was doing a day too. wow thats awesome i thought. then guys honestly, it got weird for no apparent reason. C5 obviously has no real plan yet or they would have said more. one of our members has committed lots of cash for a day there only to be treated as if he has done something to C5. what? weird man. now the entry list for michaels event is down for some reason. its like C5 has him scared to post who is coming to his event. weird man.
i like C5 and a lot of the members here, but its not a religion, its a discussion forum that is a little too big for its britches sometimes. C5 has gotten so into being like michael waltrip to their sponsors, they have let their focus change from the motorsports and camaro enthusiast, to the guys who give them money. lets dial it back a little and all just be car guys.
im on track instructing 28 HPDE days over there this season and i will be doing pace car and inspection for several other events. i would still love to do the C5 events but im not putting one dime of my money to this as long as its this weird man.

Friday at the road coarse is going to be a blast. Make sure you get signed up for Friday before all the slots get filled.

This post is 100% incorrect. C5 is supporting all of it. In fact I was working on a new thread this morning when I saw this.

We can't control when Michael chose to start advertising Friday, but we are all in with it. Two separate groups doing this thing.

Trust me we know with the Z/28 addition the Camaro community is getting more into the road coarse which is one of the the main reasons we chose Bowling Green this year. We've had Thursday locked down for quite some time and TAG let you all know about it. But one thing you're right about is it's a lot of money and we're not going to jump the gun and promise something we can't deliver. New thread coming shortly for Thursday signups.

i just want it to go good. its my home track and i want the camaro guys to leave loving it like i do. theres tons of room over there to park rigs out of the way or whatever to make room at beech bend. im supporting the vendors and have plans already to get with my tuner over there. all the friday guys will be at beech bend saturday.

I've never been to a C5fest before and am greatly looking forward to it.
I built my car for road courses, and love the twisties.
Friday works better for me because we wont be arriving untill Thursday like alot of others.
Drag racing is fun, but road courses are more fun for me.
Thank you to all the people organizing the weekend.
See you there!!

Don't forget the AutoX, we have good team set up to run what we call CamaroCross this year.

A new registration site will be set up for this as well and it will be Friday and Saturday.
