Cool. I'll put together a couple ideas and we can go from there.

If you are interested please sound off so we all know.

Thanks

My wife, Carol, gave me a list of some good places but they're all down town and that wont work if we get a bunch of people. Parking being the main reason.

I'm more familiar with the stuff near my house but that's 30 min north of the track straight up 183. We have a place we like about a mile from our house which is an Texas/Italian joint with a bar, normal dinning area and a really nice outdoor covered patio. But again, parking could become an issue if most/all of us show up.

I'll keep working on ideas. Is driving that far from the track a deal breaker for any of you?

Here's another idea for someplace after the event. I've never been there before but it looks cool.

http://eatdrinkdocs.com/

There are several locations to choose from.

This one looks like the best place do to parking but Google maps says it's a BJ's.
5207 Brodie Ln #100
Sunset Valley, TX 78745

Second, probably the best bet all around....

1106 W 38th St, Austin, TX 78705

There were a couple other places real close to the track but I figured if I didn't feel right about parking my car there I wasn't about to ask y'all to park yours there. Only other choices I can find at this point are near my house 30 min north.

If any of you have suggestions please add them to the list and we all can put in our 2 cents.

Something I maybe should have asked before, but what are their helemt requirements? I have a Snell 2010 that I use for AutoX. I cant remeber if it is only M rated or SA. I'll have the wife check for me today, but if I need to order a helmust I gotta get on it now. BTW I looked on their site but don't see it listed. The 'Forms' page is all messed up.

LOL! You sir are very correct. I'm just used to people wining about having to drive 10 -15 min.

The full course does require a helmet. They have full face helmets we can use for something like $5 bucks if memory serves. I'll shoot Bill an email and ask him for the specifics. I think it's the same as a normal motorcycle helmet. Chances are, if you have a helmet you already are using for auto-x that will be fine.

You could just use one of their loaners. Then get your Snell 2015.

I bet they don't check. I've never had my helmet checked at a track. Texas mile tech is the only one whose checked.

I ordered a Gforce. It'll be there next week. It'll be good as I plan to keep this up. I just wish the Snell '15 would have released already. Oh well, its good till 2020. Not that I'll use it that long. I like to replace every two or three years.
