Raiders haven't won more than what...5 games in a year since their SB loss...

Dolphins finished 7-9, 8-8, and 8-8 the last 3 seasons.

While I personally don't think the Dolphins are going to make the playoffs, they are closer to being a playoff team than the Raiders are to not being one of the bottom 5 teams in the NFL.

and 2013 season they were just one game away from being in the playoffs with 2 games to go, but their oline was just terrible that year. Last season they were in it until week 16 as well, but needed help from other teams. Miami has been an average team for a while, mainly because they couldn't find a QB. I think they have a good one now. Just need to keep him upright. lol Tannehill is 1 sack shy of David Carr's 140 sacks in 3 years.

Yep, all very valid points. However, I think you miss the biggest issue, which is that they can't win the division games that they need to win. They've won more than 3 games against divisional opponents just twice since 2005. They've lost more than they have won about 5-6 times...with the remaining years finishing at 3-3.

I know the AFC South hasn't been a good division for the last 6 years or so, but the Colts mantra is win the division, everything else doesn't matter. They have not lost a divisional game in 2 years.

If the Dolphins want to make the playoffs, they got to clean up bad losses to teams like the Bills and Jets... I understand losing to the Patriots.

Funny thing is, you split the season series against your division...and pretty much every W/L was basically a blow-out for the other team...

It's been like that since I was a kid in the 70's. I've never been able to explain it.

I just read an article on Bleacher Report about the Bills and Rex Ryan signing Matt Cassel... if I was a Bills fan I'd kill myself after reading it.

It was that depressing...

maybe that's why PQ hasn't posted in a while.

Check you stats before you try going to post stats. 2010 & 2011 they finished 8-8. While I'll admit they have been bad since there SB appearance in 2002, the Dolphins haven't been much better. The average records in the time frame are Raiders 5-11 & the Dolphins 7-9. Wow a whole 2 games better and the raiders play in a much tougher division.

The Raiders are also in much better position to improve via FA over the next 2 years will tons of cap space ($64 Million).

Okay, so they had two non losing years in the span of the last what...15 years? The point is that franchise has been trash ever since that SB loss.

And much like Buffalo.... they've struggled to find any consistency at the QB position until they drafted Carr.

The only stat that really matters is how the teams are doing most recently. Anyone can pick and choose stats to help their point of view. Recently the raiders have sucked pretty bad. Recently the Dolphins have been average and still in playoff hunt in week 16 the last two years. Even the Dolphins blew the heck out of the Raiders last year. So much so, that the Fins sat out Tannehill in the beginning of the 4th Qtr.

And it's very easy to screw up FA and the draft, so having a ton of cap space is irrelevant until they prove it the following year. Like I said, facts are facts. Raiders suck, Dolphins are middle of the pack.

Brandon Marshall to the jets. Too bad they still have no one to throw to him.

Yeah, you have two all-pro WRs and a joke for a QB.... pretty sad really..

Don't think that trade happens with Rex still in NYC....
