470 miles on my 2011 2SS/RS and I hear a 'tink' sound in my driver's side door after I release the brake sometimes. It sounds like something in the auto-locking mechanism.

I hope this expensive toy can live up to the expectations. I drove 3 sets of tires off of my old SRT8 Magnum and nothing at all broke on it. And I mean this is after some serious drag racing all over TX on 1/8th and 1/4th mile tracks.

Update to post #151 in this thread;

My dealer replaced the right rear hub assembly in attempts to quiet a high pitch squeel. They thought it was a wheel bearing making the noise. I waited 8 weeks for them to get parts in and drove approx. 3K miles. The repair attempt did not fix the problem. They further diagnosed that the noise is coming from the differential. Heavy metal shavings are in the diff fluid. My car is now up on blocks getting her rear-end removed and torn apart (I bet she feels violated! ) Only 6K miles and getting a colonoscopy!
I will post what is replaced to get her back on the road when i am contacted with this information.
Driving a rental car in shame...

Update to #184:

Dealership opened the door panel and found that the metal bar connecting the key tumbler to the auto locking mechanism was not attached. The metal tink noise I was hearing was that bar swinging against other parts in the door.

Update: After 4 days in the shop, problem was finally fixed. They replaced all bearings in the differential, installed new seals and fluid. Squeeling noise is gone and she is back on the road again. Mechanic said no signs of damage on the bearings but metal in the fluid indicates something definetly broke (you think?). It is scary to think that a major drive train component failed after 3000 miles with light use and no abuse. Now I am going to try comp-mode just because...

If you can include any service bulletins with your problems if one exists that would be great to help other people!

What has broken on your new camaro? Why?
Did you come up with your own solution?
Did you upgrade to a better part?
Did you just take it to the dealer?
What did you do to fix it?
Engine. Replaced with a hand built custom LSX-427.

Had car for 3 months and had the oil pump needed to be replaced.
Passanger fog light burnt out
Driver seat plastic broke
Heater Motor was making clicking sound and replaced.
Shifting in the car is terrible though in the cold. Actually have to push it into gear very hard. When going from 2nd to 3rd it crunches. Dealer says there isn't a problem. I wish GM would updated the older transmission with the carbon rings they put in the new ones!

I will add this to my previous list on here, the driver seat heating pads-both replaced this week at 30,177 miles and the driver side window regulator same time as seat heater.
My husband said he noticed some oil on the garage floor yesterday will be doing oil change saturday and find out where it is coming from.

1) Seam on passenger seat bottom ripped (the seat is rarely sat in.) Seat covering was replaced. TSB on it.
2) Extremely squeaky brakes. Dealer has checked 3 times and said they can't duplicate, but they squeak on the way out of the dealership and everywhere in between...TSB for the v8's but not the V6's.
3) Ticking noise in the heater/air conditioner at the third level. Dealer replaced something and problem solved. Not sure if there's a TSB on it.
4) Loud "clunking" noise in rear end somewhere, on three occasions. Dealer said they can't replicate. TSB on "clunking" re: a possible software issue.
5) Passenger side seat release latch on back of seat wouldn't work. Dealer lubricated the latch, works now. TSB re: seat latches.
6) Wind noise coming through front corner of passenger window. Dealer has "adjusted" the window twice but it still has wind noise. Not sure if there's a TSB on that.
I would feel so much better if the unresolved issues above could be fixed, because my warranty is going to be up in 700 miles, and I really don't want any bigger issues later with NO WARRANTY!
